i did what the others recommended - i'm on 2019 16" MBP with 5500 (8gb), and had been running the Jan Blue drivers. did the update thru device manager to August, rebooted, installed August Red without factory reset, and it's working PERFECTLY - have tried in Tarkov, Destiny, and MS Flight Sim, all working great!! thank you, Mat - so happy to be on a new version finally, and can even play Hyper Scape now since that required Feb drivers as minimum!

Happy to report I can also confirm this. Installed January Red drivers using the typical method with safe mode and DDU. Then updated to August Red drivers in device manager. Then ran setup.exe again to install the appropriate Adrenalin software. With this method, I am on August and am running my normal games, with resolution changes, with no black screen or crash. There must be some configuration or setting in the earlier drivers (Jan and all previous) that is maintained when you "update" the existing driver. It must be different in some way for Apr and Aug drivers so that when they are installed fresh, they are misconfigured in some way. God knows what that configuration is though. Very happy it's working for now.

I put a post in the troubleshooting forum as well, but I'll post here for anyone else who is also having these issues or who has a solution. I am on a 16' MBP with the 5500M 8GB and i9. I have done DDU 3x in safe mode AND the AMD cleaner, and I still am getting the black screen issue with both red and blue August drivers. I have also tried installing through device manager. If i do it after running DDU, i still get a black screen. But when i update the drivers in device manager after installing the january drivers, it seems like the new ones are only half-installed, and many things are broken. I also get a lot of stuttering and input lag with this method. I also get the "settings and driver version do not match" message when i try to open the Radeon settings. Also, Radeon ReLive does not work for January Blue/Red drivers. Can anyone confirm if relive works/doesn't work with the august drivers for MBP 16'? ReLive is super useful for me so I'm hoping it will be fixed soon. I just also want to say that I appreciate all of the hard work you are doing to give us updated drivers. I hope I do not come off as entitled or anything like that. I really appreciate your help! With the August drivers now installed. Try running the August edition WITHOUT factory reset box checked. It should just install the radeon software then. Ah, this solved it so far! Thank you so much! The software opens just fine. I have not tested the performance yet in terms of the input lag and screen tearing, I'll get to it ASAP. However, there is one last thing which I am noticing, and that is Radeon ReLive still does not work. I have installed the OpenCL SDK and I am still getting the "green screen" thing, and I can only see the mouse cursor. Since our situations are so unique, google researching doesn't seem to help. Most people solve this issue by updating their drivers... Anyway, just wanted to say thank you so much for your help and the updated drivers! If the ReLive has a solution, that would be great! Thanks!

Thanks Mat! Drivers working really well on 5600m. No issues with installation, software or use.
Blue drivers ended up working slightly better for FPS and benchmarking than red despite the customization of adrenalin software in Red. Benchmarks went up by 5-10% from Apple's drivers, and also gained about 10 FPS in Warzone. Awesome work, donated.

These drivers are definitely faster - especially in Flight Sim on my iMac Pro Vega 64. Unfortunately, they (as do the official AMD BootCamp drivers) hard crash to a reboot anytime I try Oculus VR with the Quest. This includes with Oculus Link, or even with Virtual Desktop (which makes no sense). The exact same hardware and software config works fine on my iMac Pro in Windows... so I have zero idea at this point what is wrong. It has to be a fundamental flaw in AMD's drivers, or Oculus's. But there are so few users using PCVR with a 16" 5600M Based MBP that I don't think they notice or care. Otherwise, all is well in non VR on the 5600M MacBook Pro, and in VR on the iMac Pro.

Adrenalin August Blue enterprise edition also works well with iMac 5k 2017 Radeon Pro 580. Blue is better for fps than Red for me.

To finalise my findings Mat; - DDU in safe mode x3 - Boot back in to normal mode, and install the official AMD Bootcamp drivers - Don’t restart, and update through device manager to August Red. - Restart, and then install the Adrenalin August red software (don’t tick factory reset) - Everything works great. Mac Pro 7,1 - W5700X Yep, this currently works. When I get back home, will report if it works with my eGPU

on my imac 5k 2019 with vega 48 and windows 10 2004 the august red drivers work perfectly! I'm very happy. They are the first drivers of 2020 that work on my mac.

Are the new august drivers also ment for the Mac Pro 2013 (Trashcan), or do we still have to wait a little bit longer to get support for this model aswell?

I've added support in the installer but early reports are suggesting it isn't working for the old Mac Pro. You could try installing November edition from last year and then installing August edition using device manager.

Hope this helps somebody with a similar setup. I have a MacBook Pro 15” 2017 (Model A1707) Intel Core i7 3.1 GHz machine with an internal Radeon 560 dGPU. I'm also using an Sapphire AMD 5700XT graphics card mounted in a Razer X Chroma and running Windows 10 (2004.450) under Bootcamp from a standalone external Samsung T7 SSD, which works great by the way. I have a Dell 27" Gaming Monitor plugged into the back of the 5700XT via a Displayport connection. Being impatient and after messing around NOT following Mat's steps properly, which created an unnecessary waste of time just trying to do a straight install over his current April Adrenaline Bootcamp drivers, I re-watched his video again, that I had used to install the April drivers. Proper steps that worked for me on my particular system. 1. UNPLUG Razer X eGPU from MacBook Pro and do everything without it attached. 2. Follow Matt's video EXACTLY to install the new Adrenalin August 2020 edition (20.8.3) drivers. 3. Once finished running the AMD install, I rebooted Windows 10 the usual way I have always done to startup under the old April drivers with my setup. By that I mean I have to leave the Razer X turned OFF, but plugged into the top right TB3 Port on my MacBook Pro, then just as the Windows 10 Logo appears, I count 2 seconds, then turn the Razer X power switch ON. Its the only way I can have Windows 10 recognize my 5700XT and set it up correctly. If I don't do that process exactly that way, Windows 10 fails to setup the 5700XT properly and shows a small triangle in Device Settings with the dreaded Error 12 message (not enough resources). If I follow that boot process exactly, then Windows 10 recognizes and sets up the 5700XT correctly (no error 12) and it works perfectly. 4. I tested all my software that I normally run with the older April drivers and the new Adrenalin August 2020 edition (20.8.3) drivers appear to work just fine. I haven't done any performance testing to see if they're any faster under my configuration. Thanks Mat ... appreciate your efforts and I'm sending off a PayPal for £20 to help defray your costs doing this valuable work on behalf of the Mac community. Regards, Doug Edit: PayPal sent!

I made an account to confirm this works for Macbook pro 16 5300m. 1. Install Jan Drivers (red in my case) 2. Update through device manager to August drivers 3. Without restarting, install Radeon software unchecking factory reset. 4. Once installed, restart manually. 5. Keep processor max speed to 90% from windows power options. (this does work better than throttlestop for me) The frame rates are definitely better in august driver and some games which didn't run earlier are now running
Only issues I'm facing for now
*after changing the resolution from in game some of them have to be restarted in order for changes to take effect. *The system doesn't stay in sleep mode for a long time. It shuts off forcefully. *Throttling (it is less when i have the AC on but its getting chilly now so that's becoming a problem.

Thanks for the drivers in my case for a iMac 2020 radeon Pro 5500 XT I've installed Red version, I also have the dual screen issue, it's easy to fix but is just temporal, because when restarting the Windows, it happens again and you have to do the same fix every time. Any fix for that ?
Besides that everything run smoth, tested on fortnite with a 80 FPS average, and so far there has been no crashes with the atikmdag.sys like with Apple drivers.
thnaks for your effort!
