Thanks for the hard work. Not quite up to the task on the 5700 XT for me. Red installed fine, but performance isn't there. I get a passmark DirectX 12 score of 17 (the Apple drivers got a DX12 score of 57) which tells me something's not quite working for me.

I installed with iMac 2020 27" 5K (i7, 5700XT), and it didn´t work very well. Everything installed fine, but soon after the driver was installed, the fans started to spin up to 100%, event though I was not doing nothing in Windows. After a few minutes it slowed down a little bit (got tired?) to about 50% fan speed, but soon after ramped up to 100% fan speed again. I tried COD Warzone, and the performance was really bad. I used an external monitor (1080p, 144hz), and disabled the 5k monitor. I got around 20-40 FPS, but for a few brief moments I suddenly got 140-160 FPS. Which of course was beautiful smooth to play with. It was a really strange gaming experience. The high FPS only lasted maybe 10 second, before it went back to 20-30 FPS.
Even though it didn't work, and thankful for your effort Matt. Hope you can fix it. I will donate.

Just to also confirm, I’m on a Mac Pro 7,1 and am using the W5700X MPX.
The drivers install ok, and when running warzone on bootcamp, the infamous rainbow texture problem has now been resolved.
However, I’m also getting very low FPS, from about 20-30FPS.
This is all at the native resolution of my monitor (3840x1200 - 32:10). Game settings are on low/normal settings.
Just to add a reference, with the same settings, on the very minimal 580X MPX, I was getting 80-100FPS

Also, just to note - I accidentally clicked on the performance tab within the Adrenalin software, and the software crashed. Each time I load up the Adrenalin software now, it tries to load that performance tab, and immediately crashes. Rendering the software inaccessible to me now.

Ill look into releasing the drivers for these macs with issues separately then and maybe that will fix the issues.

Downloaded August Blue Drivers for my 5600m. Installation went extremely smooth following your video guide exactly. Initial benchmarks show a 2% improvement (85 > 86.5 FPS average) in Unigine Heaven 1600x900 extreme preset. And a 7% improvement (5192 > 5517) in Timespy graphics score.
Note to anyone dealing with thermal issues (namely cpu heat contributing to gpu heat and ultimately throttling the gpu) I’ve experimented with throttlestop, and quick cpu extensively, but ultimately settled on the following as the easiest solution with the best results: enable ‘ultimate performance plan’ in Win10 (https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.howtogeek.com/368781/how-to-enable-ultimate-performance-power-plan-in-windows-10/amp/) and then set min and max processor state to 99%. Your timespy cpu scores will dip (my 9980HK goes from 8100 to 7000, but your cpu will stay much cooler meaning your gpu will as well, and I experience noticible improvements to my graphics score/FPS and zero thermal throttling of either gpu or cpu over extended gaming sessions. The reduction in cpu performance is meaningless to game performance as I sit at under 30% cpu utilization in even the most demanding titles and it is never my bottleneck.
Mat - could you confirm 5600m owners should still be prioritizing the Blue drivers for max FPS gains in recent games? I would download the new red drivers to test but I’m afraid of messing something up since I’ve got the new Blue drivers working well with modest gains and don’t want to disrupt a good thing.
Thank you Mat! I contributed 20 quid last week so hopefully that will help cover your time and help fund the new driver signing costs.

Hey Mat,
thanks for the new drivers. What's the difference between the red and blue edition? What do you recommend for a MacBook 15,4'' 2017 Radeon Pro 560?

So i have the MacBook Pro 16" with the 5300M. Clean installed august blue and got the black screen, fans rev up and crash after reboot and had to DDU in safe mode to come back to the January build. However. I did update the driver using Device Manager from the January Blue to the August Blue and all is working well! It even shows the new version number... thou i dont dare to reboot... But eventually i will have to try that too Edit: Reboot worked. So i guess this is a workaround?

I suspect Mac Pro users may wish to try this method also going from official bootcamp drivers.

Well I believe I followed the instructions correctly, but I’ve ended up with a weird dual desktop condition. From what I can figure, Windows now sees two built in iMac displays. I’m new at this so maybe I’m missing something obvious but any help would be appreciated! I have one of the new 27” iMac’s, 10 core, RX 5700 XT 16Gb. Attachments:

Are we still having the throttling issue with the CPU/GPU with these new drivers for the 2019 MBP???

Thanks Mat, Blue Edition seems to work. I will report any further issues, but in any case thanks for your work. A donation is incoming.

Hey Mat, So I just tried the blue drivers (after safe mode DDU), and that presented the very same issue with incredibly low FPS. I’m just DDU’ing again in safe mode and trying the official bootcamp drivers, and then trying to update the red drivers via device manager and see what result that yields.

So, as a conclusion, installing the official bootcamp drivers, and then using device manager to point to the august red folder successfully updated the driver, however, I can’t access the Radeon pro control panel at all.
The good news is:
Warzone runs at 100 FPS at the same settings from earlier. Also, we still have no more rainbow texture bugs.
So I’m assuming it seems like there’s something with the Adrenalin software itself in the august version that’s not playing very nice with warzone, giving it 20-40 FPS.
However, to repeat, now that we installed the official bootcamp drivers, and updated them with the august red drivers via device manager - gameplay is fixed. But no access to the graphics control panel, as it says the driver and the control panel version is mismatched.
