OK GUYS you will not believe what i just did. i have a macbook 16 with a 5500m 8GB on, i use an external screen MP59G BOOTCAMP WIN 10 - 2004 edition updated 2 days ago i had the january drivers blue installed. i downloaded the 20.5.1 from the website of AMD. i started the EXE file, and extracted all files into the AMD directory in C: i went into device manager, selected the graphics card 5500M, manually changed the driver, selected from the driver package in dir: packages/display/wta6A_INF there i selected the u0356013.inf file and from the list of available cards i chose ASUS RADEON RX550 Series then it installs the drivers. i don't even have to restart the computer, the graphics go supersmooth, and i don't have the screen freezes anymore in WARZONE. gameplay is way better. please try it out ! Sounds nice. Did anyone manage that on a MBP2018 with an RX560? I don't seem to have the Asus RX550 as an option. Did you follow through with the actual setup, or just use the one windows installs with the inf?

Right. So I've basically diffed the latest Red release with the official one, and recreated the steps on the latest drivers. This includes the obvious HW checks in the manifests, the hw ids in the inf file, as well as the hex tweaks that I didn't bother to find out what they're doing I finally rebuilt the catalogue, and self-signed the drivers. Didn't change much in terms of performance (for example, valorant is still dropping fps left and right), but 2004 support should be here. I can't test it, since I'm running a Windows to Go installation, and upgrading is most likely a pain or impossible (since they killed WTG with 2004).

Hello guys, I have a problem with inconsistent GPU clock speed on my MacBook Pro 16"5300M graphics, I tried all of the modified drivers (excluding April because for whatever reason te screen becomes black and I have to restart) here but the problem remains the same, the clock hovers between 800mhz to 600 for the first 15min of gaming before dropping to 300ish and the FPS takes a big hit...
Is there a way to solve this? because it really is annoying (
Many thanks, Ahmed )

16" macbook pro 5500m 4gb here. I gave up on the 5500m and got an eGPU. I reused my newer 2080 Super from my aging 7700k gaming desktop, and I now have astonishingly awesome performance. I can easily max out all games 1600p and even most with no AA at the macbook's native resolution. And that is not using an external display. Just letting the 2080 Super run graphics back and forth from the mac to the egpu and back. Its unbelievable. Worth the $300 for the eGPU. But maybe not worth it if you dont already have a boss nvidia GPU at your disposal like I did. I wouldnt have tried this if I had another garbage AMD GPU. This is the hot setup. And I can use it at home with ease. But on the road, Im going to deal with the 5500m. Its not horrible, but it is for a $3000 laptop... But we all knew that going in...lol

Maybe the new AMD drivers with Hardware Scheduling would help with macbook temps? Well, I guess we just need to wait for the update from Mat.

The problem occurs even when the temps are in the 80's with adjusted fan curve in MacsFanControl. Let's hope Mat will solve this issue, the wait's gonna be long till August haha

He is adding compatibility to the drivers, not new features and these kinda fixes. I'm afraid it might be beyond anyone else knowledge than Apple/AMD.

Are you having the same problem I do or is it onl me because these drops are really disturbing. I managed to fix my CPU clock and wattage thanks to QuickCPU but that GPU is really instable /

For this moment I'm not even bothering using my macbook 16 to game just because of this whole throttling thing. I rather wait for the solution than use my nerves

Thank you for taking the time! Any hint on how to install the self signed driver? I see you added the certificate you used which I installed but still couldn't make the driver install.

I noticed a similar issue using the November drivers with my iMac Pro when I updated windows from 1909 to 2004.
For some reason the November drivers cause a weird verticle split down the middle of my screen when installing - the entire display is shown in the left half of my screen with the right side black.
After the drivers install the screen looks normal however I would get weird issues like night light only applying to one half of my screen.
I updated windows to v 2004 with the November drivers and while the left half of my screen was normal, the right side of my screen looked like your picture.
I have no idea what's wrong but am hoping these new drivers will work properly and allow me to update to windows 2004.
this is the result with the drivers of January and April. December ones work great. Would you recommend leaving the drivers for December or updating with the official amd drivers until August?

Anytime
I have the certificate placed as a trusted root CA - did you install it and place it in the Trusted Root Certificate Authorities > Certificate folder? Probably second from the top.
