G'day everyone, I'll make this quick.
Came from a 2018 MBP w/ 560X dgpu hooked up to a 6800XT over TB3. Initially installed the drivers with no issues.
Recently bought a 2020 iMac w/ 5700 dgpu and want to use the same 6800XT over TB3. Having 2 issues. 1. my screen is split in half, as i understand it this is rectified by going to display settings and setting it to "show on display 1". So am i to assume 5K resolution is no longer an option? 2. None of my other monitors hooked up to my 6800XT are displaying anything, almost like there's no signal from it.
Any sort of guidance is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Error 12 was the culprit of problem 2

Well here I am 24 hours later and I have a semi working instance. This is the timeline of events I have followed.
-Did a complete reinstall of Bootcamp. -Followed the full instructions in the video, didn't realize this was a thing. Whenever I ran my MBP I could just uninstall stock Bootcamp and reinstall with BCD, no DDU/safe mode required and it worked with no issues. -researched some more on the eGPU forum, discovered turning off various PCIe devices in Device Manager (no success) -did a HWinfo64 comparison with my MBP and unfortunately did not really spot many differences other than the fact that the 560X in the MDP runs PCIe 3.0 - 8x, while the 5700 in the iMac runs PCIs 3.0 - x16 (makes me wonder if it's hogging all the bandwidth on the bus) -more eGPU research, discovered about changing regedit entries (still no success with this, consistent Error 12). Reinstalled the stock bootcamp temporarily. -more research on eGPU, discover that there have been several new builds with W11 recently, specifically 22H2. -Did an upgrade from 10 to 11 21H2 as that was what I already had an ISO of. Learned that Windows Update does not automatically offer upgrades to later versions of 11 on Mac for reason, (no TPM maybe?). -Did another upgrade to 22H2. Tried the BCD method again. Surprisingly it worked (sort of)
My 2 monitors (widescreen gaming and smaller one I use browsing Walkthroughs, etc.) connected to the 6800XT eGPU lit up, My iMac however had the duplicate desktops (annoying but not the end of the world) so I extended all displays.
Went into AMD Adrenalin to see what was what. Apparently the Eyefinity title had shown up in Gaming - Display but there was nothing under it or any options to configure.
I then went in and imported a game (Ship of Harkinian) and tweaked the settings, in that panel Eyefinity was there so I checked it then launched the game. What a big mistake that was (I have never used Eyefinity before).
My one gaming monitor just disconnected out of nowhere. Tried rebooting, unplugging it and replugging into the eGPU, hot plugging the eGPU itself, scanning in Windows Display settings, nothing.
Interestingly enough when I unplugged my smaller monitor, my gaming monitor lit back up.
Not sure what is going here, and to be honest I'm scared to death to even change anything else.
I'm happy at least my 6800XT is now useable and I can game on the proper monitor.
Still would like to find a proper fix for the 5K display, in the interim I guess I'll just keep manually expanding the window.
Tomorrow is another day.

UPDATE: Turns out Windows 11 23H2 is just a much more stable version for eGPU's. Did a fresh install this morning and everything is functioning as well as it can be (I think). 5K panel still splits in two but this is a known issue. Luckily Windows 11 manages displays a lot better and you can just turn off one of them (I picked "2") and set your other one to "4K". Eyefinity still not populating in AMD Adrenalin. Hopefully when 2024-era drivers drop, there may be a fix. Everything seems stable for now, haven't had any crashes or errors. Will report back with any major issues. Don't know if linking to other sites is allowed, but here is my basic write up: egpu.io/forums/postid/111181/

Quick heads-up for AMD Radeon Pro 5600M owners, who need "D3D12 Enhanced Barriers" support or driver version bump: the unsigned versions of AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition 23.9.3, 24.1.1 and 24.4.1 (as well as 23.9.1 "hotfix") became available at GitHub today. -did a HWinfo64 comparison with my MBP and unfortunately did not really spot many differences other than the fact that the 560X in the MDP runs PCIe 3.0 - 8x, while the 5700 in the iMac runs PCIs 3.0 - x16 (makes me wonder if it's hogging all the bandwidth on the bus) janeau19 , launch CPU-Z and check Mainboard tab. You'll probably see the best link it can do is x8. At least that's what my MacBookPro16,4 tells me (I doubt your older model is any better):
