Today, I've changed the screen resolution from 3200x1800 to 2560x1440. And I switched my monitor to screen number 2 (by error). The screen went dark for several minutes. So I decided to restart the computer.
But now, the driver fails to load (error code 43). I have used several times the AMD clean up utility tool, and reinstalled the red edition of the adrenalin software, but the driver still fails to load (error code 43).
I switched off / on the computer several times, tried to reinstall the driver again, but to no avail...
This is the first time I have this kind of error. Only the blue edition of the adrenalin software works ok, but performance / quality in game is not OK.
I don't know what happened, and I don't know how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't worry, download Display Driver Uninstaller, hold Shift key and click Restart in Start menu, then use Advanced startup settings and enter 4 once computer restarts to boot into Safe Mode (see this YouTube tutorial for video sequence). Use DDU in Safe Mode to uninstall all GPU drivers ang reset everything related to GPU. Then restart the computer as normal and install the driver version you prefer.

I would really like to be able to play this game.Thank you.

See, Forza Motorsport's developer has cock-blocked some GPUs with recent update, it's a fact. However there may be a workaround if you post your error. If the error you get is the same as posted at Reddit, you should consider contacting game developer via feedback page to remove cock-block because Radeon Pro 5600M is clearly above the minimum specs — RX 5500XT GPU — of the game posted in official page:
I can also suggest pirating older version (like 1.488.4138.0 by Razor1911 is widely available) if you game offline and already bought the game to be suddenly cock-blocked by developer. You can also try to get a refund from the developer because cock-blocking wasn't advertised on release. I feel you because I do play Forza Horizon 5 a lot but I stick to older release and play offline cracked version to escape possible cock-blocking by developer. P.S. Quote from release notes of Forza Motorsport (February 14th 2024): P.P.S. The suggested above is reasonable if you experience AP205 error introduced in recent update, however there may be other errors and workarounds — here's official FAQ. You can also ask if someone at The Guru of 3D forum thread knows how to modify the game to roll back this change. However it's unlikely you will be able to play online once you modify game files. Also please check your PM, we'll see if AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition 24.1.1 for AMD Radeon Pro 5600M is sufficient to escape cock-block… Long story short, 23.9.2 introduced DirectX 12 Enhanced Barriers support but it wasn't released for Radeon Pro 5600M because the BootCampDrivers.com certificate expired.

Haven't seen any updates in the Discord on new drivers in a couple of months, have you guys gotten the certificate yet? Any idea of an ETA on a new driver?

Hello Community.
Does this Driver support the FidelityFX™ Super Resolution (FSR) feature? If so, which version is supported? FSR1, 2 or 3?
Thanks.

Hey there Monaldinio, sure, the driver supports both FSR 1.0 (any game) and FSR 2.0–2.2 (as long as game supports it). Beware that FSR 2.0+ is a temporal-based upscale solution based on motion vectors, so it requires game developer to implement the support ( here's an explanation). You can check FSR 2 games list at AMD's website. Don't care for FSR 1.0 list as it's relevant for non-AMD GPUs, so as far as you use AMD GPU the FSR 1.0 can be enabled for any game via AMD Software control panel → Gaming → Graphics → Radeon Super Resolution. P.S. As it goes to bravokid's request regarding Forza Motorsport not running on Radeon Pro 5600M, it was indeed related to the absence of D3D12 Enhanced Barrier feature in 23.9.1, so a private update to 24.1.1 remedied the issue.

Good morning, Chad. Thank you for your quick reply. To explain the background of my question, I have an iMac Pro 10 Core Vega 64. In your experience, what would be the average FPS increase in % with the Vega 64? At the moment I'm using the official Bootcamp Windows driver from AMD: AMD Software: Boot Camp Unified Driver R6.2 for Windows® 10 (21.30.45.18 - Release date: October 3, 2023). Does this driver also support FSR 2? Last question: After a test, I think that the GPU fan is quieter with the Boot Camp Unified Driver R6.2 than with the current driver - Adrenalin October 2023 Edition, based on 23.9.3. Is it possible that a driver can cause these effects?

Good morning, Chad. Thank you for your quick reply. To explain the background of my question, I have an iMac Pro 10 Core Vega 64. In your experience, what would be the average FPS increase in % with the Vega 64? Sorry for delayed response, Monaldinio , FPS increase highly depends on the game, but according to my intensive testing of 22.5.2 (IIRC), there's definitely some improvement in synthetic benchmarks like Heaven Benchmark 4.0, you can look it up among my posts. At the moment I'm using the official Bootcamp Windows driver from AMD: AMD Software: Boot Camp Unified Driver R6.2 for Windows® 10 (21.30.45.18 - Release date: October 3, 2023). Does this driver also support FSR 2? Since FSR 2/2.1/2.2 is game engine level feature, AMD's Boot Camp Unified Driver R6.2 for Windows 10 surely does support FSR 2/2.1/2.2 perfectly fine. I don't know if any performance may be gained when using FSR 2 and a more recent driver as I haven't tested (keep in mind Boot Camp Unified Driver R6.2 for Windows 10 is still a driver from 2021 under the hood). Last question: After a test, I think that the GPU fan is quieter with the Boot Camp Unified Driver R6.2 than with the current driver - Adrenalin October 2023 Edition, based on 23.9.3. Is it possible that a driver can cause these effects? As it goes to fans being quieter with Boot Camp Unified Driver R6.2 in comparison to BootCampDrivers' releases, this may be true. This is not a problem of BCD's drivers because they don't touch this aspect. According to my experience, fan curve varies between AMD's releases themselves (meaning the source of BCD release may be different). In example, I noticed something similar going from 23.91. to 24.1.1 of AMD Radeon Pro 5600M. Speaking of optimizing gaming experience, I cannot recommend Lossless Scaling enough since it introduced a "ported" AMD Frame Generation recently. Essentially LS brings a standalone version of Frame Generation technology introduced in FSR 3.0 to any game or GPU. While AMD's tech is open-source, the standalone Frame Generation officially will be coming only in FSR 3.1, and today you can use it only with games that support FSR 3.0 and only if you enable FSR 3.0 in game. Lossless Scaling removes this limitation. Here's a quick guide: - set your display to 60 Hz
- configure your game settings to run in Borderless Windowed mode, limit fps to 30 fps, turn V-Sync off (and turn V-Sync off in AMD Software if you set it there)
- launch Lossless Scaling, set
Scaling Mode to Custom Scale factor to 1 Resize before scaling to off Scaling Type to off Frame Generation to on Clip cursor to on Capture to DXGI (some people say WGC may provide better results but it doesn't work on my end) Preferred GPU to Auto Preferred display to Auto Everything else to off (including V-Sync) - launch game while you've got Lossless Scaling also running
- switch to Lossless Scaling using Alt-Tab, press blue button Scale (top right) and click back to your game
Your game will now run in full resolution in 60 fps without FSR. Or you can use FG in conjunction with FSR 1.0 if you like (but I recommend LS1 scaling type instead as it's an FSR 1.0 improved by LS developer). I run Resident Evil 2 and Forza Horizon 5 with FG only and enjoy it more than running in 48 Hz / 48 fps mode (you can look it up as an option here in forums) because it puts less strain on the GPU and I can use highest graphics presets with native resolution (3072×1728 for true 16:9). Everyone should try Lossless Scaling since you can use it with any driver version or GPU you like. IIRC the developer is Ukrainian which is certainly a good thing to know. Oh, if you game doesn't have an built-in setting to run in 30 fps , you can watch this tutorial or use AMD Software's frame limiter (Radeon Chill under Graphics). Remember you should always use 50% fps of your target fps with LS as FG will double your frames (I personally find it almost useless to go over 30 fps in single-player with 60 Hz screen).

Hi Mat, Is there any ETA to get the latest Adenalin 24.3.1 from BootCampDrivers ? Games starts asking to have latest GPU drivers and it will be great to have a ETA when you think to release next drivers on the site.
Cheers and thanks for all the works you do.
