I'm currently happy with my current config:
- Installed via device manager , not actually installing radeon software - limitting cpu wattage to 12W max (on some less demanding games it can go to 10.5W - using vsync to limit for 60fps
I have noticed that without the radeon software I'm able to sustain temps from 80 to 90º for longer periods of time (compared to radeon software which throttles almost always when hitting 80º)

I downloaded Intel XTU but didn’t find how to do it ...

alberto90 can you please tell what software did you use to monitor stats and produce charts that you used in your first post this thread? I'm going to experiment with my bootcamp setup now and need to document computer performance with various tweaks/settings applied.

Does anyone know if running this program affects MacOS in anyway? I'm very tempted to try out MorePowerTools but I don't want to mess with anything that could affect MacOS.

Friend, thanks for the info! I tried everything except MorePowerTool, since the program only works with 5500 and higher. I have 5300. I’ll ask the developer to add support for our cards. Also did not try the driver from December, only this remains. If the problem is in the software, why do many people see a completely different throttling system? Why do I get a decrease in frequencies after 5 minutes with a temperature of 75, and in a person in a video with a temperature of 80 the frequency goes from 1000 or more? The settings are similar, of course, I tried. Situation with throttling in Windows is the same for all - if youll get 80C, frequencies will drop down, temp will drop down too. After 5 mins system increasing frequencies (cause temp getting lower), itll increase temp, youre getting throttling one more time. Hi Leon, did u manage to get developer for MPT to add recognition for 5300M?

Instead of Intel XTU, try using QuickCPU. It has a simpler interface and easier launch/apply on startup.
For the GPU, it is possible to undervolt using blue drivers if you: 1. Do all the steps Mat gives in his bootcampdriver installation vids 2. in MSI Afterburner, go to settings->User Interface, and set the skin to the "Mystic" skin by Drerex Design. This makes it easier to identify certain nobs and dials that I use. 3. There is a "core voltage" slider on the left. Slide the slider to the left so that it shows a negative number (you can test this and see how far you can go without crashing, i personally use -75 on a Radeon Pro 560X for stability and temps, your milage may vary). I got around/at most -20 degrees from original (90 degrees to 70-80 after stress testing with Unigine Heaven).

When I used Jan 2020 blue drivers, i am unable to get the tuning feature to present.

I tried blue dec 2020 drivers (device manager install), but still cant get Afterburner to allow me to change clock speed on core/memory. Is this something that would need Mat to further customize the drivers for 5300M?

Is this something that would need Mat to further customize the drivers for 5300M? Hi Hydrogen, I tried it, after restart of machine, those 2 x values were back to what it were... I was still unable to modify core voltage, core clock and memory clock.... "Force constant Voltage" = it became unchecked "Extend official overclocking limits" = it became unchecked "Unofficial overclocking mode" = This stayed as without PowerPlay support. See Snapshot on my MSI afterburner...

No more throttling when you restricting down border of freqs in MPT (but temps at 93 - do it at your own risk)

After installing bootcamp again, keep the stock apple bootcamp gpu drivers and update to december 2020 blue edition through device manager method (without DDUing first, according to Mat's instructions). Hopefully this helps. If it doesn't then I don't know what to do to help you, sorry man.
