Thanks, Mat! Working great here.
I also have a 16inch MBP, 5500M 4GB, everything is working fine using the blue edition, I followed the steps that johnalan sent here. Spent the last 3 days playing Kingdom Come, Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Red Dead Redemption 2, no crashes or any other problem, working better then ever.

I updated windows to the latest insider fast release version. I performed the mat procedure from the youtuve video, I installed the red drivers but I always get black screen and restart as soon as I start a game. My version of windows 19041.207 I assume it's not a problem with the version of windows. my old version of windows 18363.778 red and blue driver april not working: black screen and restart. My version of windows 19041.207 (fast insider) red driver april: black screen and restart gpu z gpuz.techpowerup.com/20/04/21/rbf.png

I have the same configuration. R u get working April drivers? If yes, pls, upload pci.sys. Here you go, easyupload.io/ec85sk that's the one from system32/drivers, however on a ls through my system I seen a few other copies with different sizes in various folders... I've downloaded this file and I'll try the whole procedure later. If you view properties of the file, you can see digital signature date, that kind of gives you an idea of the version of the file. Mine is from 19.03.2019, your is 17.03.2020 I usually revert to mine as the newer ones do not agree with my eGPU.

Oh By the way. I don’t have any thing else installed.
It’s vanilla Windows and blue April drivers.
No throttle or clocking software or afterburner etc.

I have the typical suite of additional software (MSI Afterburner, ThrottleStop, MacsFanControl) installed and running. I'll try removing them and re-doing the install. My install steps were identical to yours btw. My version of Windows 10 is the same as many others here (latest stable channel). Yours seems to one ~one build behind that: Windows 10 Pro 1909 18363.778

Disabling all startup programs didn't help. I was sure to uncheck "Disable ULPS" in MSI Afterburner's settings before disabling it, too. I verified that running a game in borderless windowed mode does work. Just to double-check, the games that work for you are running in fullscreen mode, right? I tried looking in Event Viewer for any logging that could point to the problem, but there was nothing illuminating. I haven't been able to find any documentation online for where AMD drivers output logs of their own, if they do at all. I also tried resetting SMC. I'm attaching some GPU-Z screenshots while April blue drivers are installed. Attachments:GPU-Z screenshots.zip (505.97 KB)

I deleted the bootcamp partition and performed a fresh install of windows vanilla, installed only the bootcamp drivers. Safe mode started and mat tutorial executed. Installed red drivers April same black screen problem and restart. I don't know what to try anymore.

Currently getting my Windows up to date and am going to attempt a 3rd time. On 2019 iMac 27in i5 570x. Attempted April Red following YouTube video exactly, once the AMD driver install got to about 70% it paused and I got a pop up asking something along the lines of allowing Bootcamp driver update despite the AMD installer being open, I clicked YES and the update continued, got to 100% and then my screen turned into rainbow lines. Windows was unrepairable so I did a fresh install, updated Windows to 1909, attempted again with April blue, same result. Currently finishing these Windows updates and am going to attempt again with the December drivers. Wish me luck. How much of a performance boost are most with 5xx cards getting from these drivers? I am very curious as I game on my iMac just having trouble getting them to work.
