Whenever I go to run the setup and install the new drivers the AMD installer claims there is no compatible hardware on the machine.
I don't know what the problem is.

i'll look into it. In the meantime you should find slightly older drivers working just fine. Not sure why this is happening as I've overcome the blocks AMD have put in place.

So I downloaded the x-treme gaming addition drivers and those worked with the installer. Now however some Steam games are now claiming I need "DX11 level 10" to use them. Seems odd.

Since version 17.4.1, some older cards are having issues with directX 11 not working. This is a widespread issue affecting PC cards too. I recommend you stick to version 17.3.2 and keep trying future versions to see if this is fixed.
