TL:DR; If anyone running Windows 10 Bootcamp on a 2018 MPB 15" (555X or 560X GPU but let me know either way) could download/install this OpenGL Extensions Viewer (left blue icon, free), run it and click the 'Rendering Tests' icon on the left menu, uncheck the 'full screen' box to the right, hit the play button to run the test, and follow up if they get a blank white window (or a blank black window if you forget to uncheck full screen), I'd really appreciate it! The tests takes about 10 seconds total to finish running. Thanks!
Full Story:
So I just recently upgraded to one of the new 2018 Macbook Pros and set up Bootcamp with Windows 10, ported over all of my OpenGL (4.3, glfw 3.2.1 based) projects, and tried to run them through Visual Studio Enterprise (2015 and 2017). While the projects compile and run just fine data wise with no errors thrown, they only render a blank white window. What's even weirder is it seems to be happening at random - I can sometimes get the project to render properly either immediately after running the project OR by resizing the screen, but I haven't been able to nail down a repeatable pattern to consistently get things rendering properly.
I decided to fire up that extensions viewer I linked to above to see if I could diagnose the issue, but when I ran the rendering tests I was surprised to see the same type of blank white screen (or blank black screen if run in full screen, which is also what I get when I full screenmy own projects). The weirdest part - the extensions viewer says all the render tests passed successfully.
My gut tells me it's some kind of a driver issue since these machines are still pretty new, but I haven't been able to find any other instances of this issue around the web. I'm not sure if any one has dealt with or heard of anything like this but I felt like it couldn't hurt to ask to see if the issue is more widespread.
Thanks a ton!
