Hey!
I recently updated my Bootcamp to Windows 10 v1803 and installed the newest Bootcamp-Version. After playing a few rounds of my favorite game i noticed heavy fps drops.
I looked around, tested another game and pinned the problem: The temperature of the CPU is slowly rising (while the clock is switching between 2.4 and 3.6 Ghz) until it hit's 100 degree celsius - then the CPU clocks down to 1.2 Ghz and stays there for the rest of the gaming session (while staying at a chiling 69 degree celsius). This results in unplayable framerates.
To fix the issue i switched over from Apple's bootcamp-drivers to bootcampdrivers.com - but this does not fix the problem at all. I also used Intel's Extreme Tuning Utility to lower core voltage of the CPU - but this only increases the timespan until the CPU finally clocks down to 1.2 Ghz.
After cleaning the fans of the MacBook the CPU drops down to around 1.6 Ghz - a little bit better but by far not enough. I also set a framerate limit to 61 FPS - but that doesnt fix the problem.
Do you guys have any further tipps for me?
