I have a macbook pro with the r9 m370x. When i touch one thing in MSI Afterburner or ASUS GPUTweak II my clock drop to 300 mhz and my ram clock too. I build costum watercooling for my macbook so to hot is not really a problem. My GPU never reach 50+ C°. With an older version of of the driver i can overclock til 1040 mhz clock speed without problems. But with the last 5 new drivers i can´t overclock. With the newest driver i can´t reach 801 mhz. Some idea why my clock drop always to 300mhz when i try to change something?
P.S. Reinstall both tools + driver with ddu in safety mode

Overclocking is disabled on his drivers. Also, we do not recommend overclocking because laptops, ESPECIALLY Macbooks are not designed for that much power and will melt down your computer.
To prove this, boot into Windows 10 and leave it open for a few minutes. It will be STEAMING HOT. With the GPU overclocked, imagine how worse it would be.

Overclocking is disabled for most users though some people are finding it works for Radeon Pro 500s in some of the iMacs. I have also enabled it for FirePro cards in the Mac Pro as they benefit hugely from overclocking.

Is not my first time i do overclocking at the limit. How i can enable the overclocking? Please i have at time not the money for a PC and need the power. I know that my macbook can break and i will not bother you with this if this happen.

Overclocking simply doesn't work on older AMD cards anymore unless if you are prepared to use an older driver.

I would try 17.6.2 first. Otherwise you may have to use the oldest one which is 17.4.1.

I know this is a slightly old topic but did reverting to 17.4.1 work to fix the overclock issue for the MSI AB dropping to 300MHz?
