Hello! I’ve been trying to get eyefinity to work on my 2017 5k iMac. I understand for the most part how it works, but I was wondering if there’s a way to trick eyefinity into thinking that the 5k display group is one display, so eyefinity could then be utilized. This would be one of the greatest things for gaming. Thank you!

The imac requires the panel to be split into two because of the two timing controllers needed to power the display. I'm afraid what you're asking cannot be done.

Could you in theory run two instances of eyefinity, and have the second display group incorporate the first display group?

In theory, yes though I'm doubtful if this can even be done.

Hello, is there a reason why the main display is greyed our, even when not part of a display group? Is the iMac display capable of being added to an eyefinity group whatsoever?
