Dear community, i got a very annoying problem with my external monitor. I think the problem is the modified gaming driver. When I connect the monitor via a DisplayPort to USB C cable the monitor needs to reconnect several times. After that it stays in a very strange resolution (600p x 800p). I tried to change the battery options of the computer. Two times the laptop even stopped working after connecting. The strange thing is that everything worked fine at my first try. I played some games for a few hours and didn't have a problem at all. But after reconnecting the next day it didn't work anymore. The display sometimes shows the weird black/white pixel everyone knows from old televisions without signal. Hope anyone can help me and I'm happy about every answer! Elias

Have you tried installing an older version of the driver to see if the issue persists? Have you tried using a different adapter to make sure if it is that?

Hey Mat, now sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. When I connect the monitor it needs up to 1 minute until it works. It feels like the AMD software and the Windows monitor options interrupt each other, but I'm not sure. On macOS I got the problem, that the monitor disconnects for 2 seconds randomly (1 to 2 times per hour). So I bought a USB C to HDMI cable, it works fine on macOS, but on Windows 10 it doesn't work at all. It shows up in the Windows monitor options and in the device manager, but I don't get any signal on the external monitor. :/ I will try to use an older version of the driver in the evening and keep you updated. Elias

Elias Sounds like its an adapter issue with Windows. Not sure why they can be so tempermental in Windows.

Today I installed the latest Adrenalin 18.1.1 drivers and now it magically works with the HDMI to USB C cable. I hope it will stay that way now. I first installed the x-treme gaming drivers on January 14th, I don't know if this is a newer version now since then on the website. Unfortunaately I still can't say what caused the problem. :/ Anyway, thanks for the quick answers and your help!
