Subject line says it all. Also, brightness controls aren't working. But the fan is the bigger issue. 2017 iMac, RX 580, Windows 10 64 bit Pro. Followed the instructions to the letter, everything appeared to go fine, but after a reboot things are pretty noisy.

have you installed macsfancontrol afterwards? should solve your problem. if not, downgrade to 17.9.2

I haven't downgraded, but the fans have started behaving. I rebooted into Mac OS X, and at first the fans stayed cranked up. I did a complete shutdown, waited a while, and booted back up, and now the fans are behaving. I just spent about 1/2 an hour playing Mass Effect Andromeda and they never really got going.
I still don't have control over the brightness, and the ATI control panel isn't working. But the main things (games play, fans aren't too loud) are taken care of. I'm going to leave things alone for now, but if I see any other problems I'll try 17.9.2.
