Hi, I wondered if you would be able to help me. I have a MacBook Pro with the following spec and would like to use windows bootcamp to use steam and use it for gaming games like GTA.
Having followed all the instructions and installing everything the games run for 5mins and the MacBook overheats. This is on my MacBook and on my ultra-wide Philips monitor.
Would I be correct in saying I need to upgrade my graphics card or spec to run games at all or in good resolution?
All tests were graphics on low quality mode. I noticed my GPU is max at 100% when playing and when it crashes my MacBook is hot enough to fry and egg.
Note, I don't have the full version of windows just the disk image version as advised if I don't have a product key. I assume I wouldn't need a full license for this?
I spoke to Apple and windows and both told me to contact the other.
MacBook Pro 2019 Processor: 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core Graphics: AMD Radaon Pro 5500M 8 GB Intel UHD Graphics 680 1596 MB Memory: 32 2667 MHz DDR4 OS: Sonoma 14.2.1 Windows partition has 305gb.
I have tried other games that do the same. I have tried windows fan control on max performance.
