Hi guys,
Currently having a problem at the moment installing windows on my external ssd I have done this before but for some reason I can’t get it going.
This time I’m trying to do it on an m.2 Samsung 970 in a thunderbolt 3 enclosure so after using the tutorial I used before using parallels and win to usb to copy windows on when I go to boot from the external ssd the windows logo comes up with a spinning wheel then it crashes high fans then goes off and repeats ive reinstalled it twice now and it’s still not going,
I gave up in the end so I just used boot camp and done it that way, but yesterday I decided to update graphics drivers to new Adrenalin and my mac won’t boot it’s stuck in a boot loop and when I go to start In safe mode the problem still persists, so I’m guessing I’m just going to have to reinstall windows
Just wondering if anyone has an idea what’s wrong with my ssd install or if anyone’s had the same problem before I wipe boot camp and start again
Cheers

Did you install it on the 10gbs one and then switch it when it’s running or just stayed on the 10gbs seems a waste since the enclosure was like £100 🤦♂️😂

Yeah i did same you i first thought it would work on enclosure with TB3 but then i tried also by other friend of mine and we had same problem. So i bought then another SSD case only with 10Gbps connection and moved it to there and then it was working perfectly. I also spendt like 80-100 Euros on that TB3 enclosure
