Hello,
Here is the situation I am in. I have an iMac 2019 27 inch base model with the i5 570X. It is still within return time if I decide to swap it out. I wanted to get the 580X but am having a hard time making it worth the extra $400-$500 price tag as everything else in the computer I plan to swap out. I am going to be doing a 9900T upgrade, 2TB nvme, and 40GB RAM meaning the only actual upgrade I would get out of the $400-$500 higher end model is going from a 570X to a 580X. I plan on keeping this iMac for at least a few years and I do a fair amount of gaming, Photoshop, and am getting back into 3D modeling. Any input appreciated.
My next question is regarding the 9900T upgrade - I assume the 9900T will create more heat which will cause more / earlier throttling and less performance? Is there a bell curve for this? Anyone with a 9900T / 5XX care to share there thermal situation?
Thanks in advance
