I was able to get the drivers to work now when I tried again, I disconnected all the cables to my MBP except the power cable. I downloaded the blue april drivers from the homepage, not this forum. I am on the same windows version as tobwb 1909 build 18363.778. I then connected my display and watched out to have display projection as 'extend'. As 'Second screen only' crashes to black screen and then restart. only difference from this successful install is that I ticked the box in setup.exe and also installed the openCL amd sdk(included in the driver). Will you be able to fix the 'second screen only' crash Mat? as having both screens on does affect gaming performance. (5300M MBP 16inch) It's something AMD will need to fix so please provide them with a bug report with your findings.

I upgraded to build 1863.778 (previously had 1863.720), so I have the same system and config GPU wise as tobwb (drivers are working for him). I installed apple drivers, then DDU x3, AMD cleanup utility both in safe mode, then rebooted, installed blue drivers and then OpenCL, rebooted, launched AC Odissey and had the same black screen and Windows crash ... (MBP16” 5500M 8GO)
Could it be because I had an external ssd plugged in while installing the drivers ?

this also happenes to me... i just start my bootcamp in Virtualbox / Vmware / paraleslls desktop and uninstall. I just tried now inside of bootcamp the amd cleanup utility i got better result with that tool insidea of DDU idk if its because of i install Red Drivers or it works better then DDU dont know for sure i will try again when i have blue drivers installed Edit: i used AMD clean software said should be in safe boot there it was all good and i used also DDU in safe mode. After that i tried again install the Blue Version and for some reason it went 100 % good no hang up or that screen after i installed just worked. Maybe there was something that was blocking or doing something behind in windows dunno but so far im happy with my install right now I removed the drivers via a virtual machine and luckily I didn't have to format. In January, even after formatting, they didn't work. Are you now using the red or blue drivers? I didn't understand (sorry for my bad english). What version of windows 10 are you using? Amd cleaning utility, do you use it in safe mode? im using blue drivers windows 1909 and amd cleaning utility was with the zip file from Mat you can launch that it will says want to reboot into safe mode and i did that and removed the old drivers plus DDU 1 time and install blue drivers so far so good no black or color screen on crash not yet but havent tested it

The Red driver didn't work on my iMac Pro with Vega64. I ended up with the same scrambled screen as cuppino83. The computer restarted, ended up with the scrambled screen again, it restarted once more, then finally I was able to log in. When I did, I got the following message:
"C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\atiadlxx.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or [blah blah]. Error status 0xc000012f."
I also got this rather amusing message after the first one:
"NO adl load
xwz"
The driver will get to 96% installed, but then when I click to install from the "Trust bootcampdrivers" window, that's when the screen gets scrambled and the computer restarts the first time. I tried this multiple times, and each time I had the same result.

Blue edition work great on MacBook Pro 16 5500m here. Seem to be getting better sustained clocks with more power tool tweaks compared to January. Noticed the Blue edition installed red software, no bother to me rather have the red software not sure if it's a fluke or not haha. Thanks again Matt! Oh whoops I think forgot to change the flag to make it blue edition! I’ll rectify this shortly. Brilliant efforts Mat. I am going to go for this install for the 1st time trying your drivers.. Will be watching your YouTube again. Um I read deeper in the forum you got the correct editions (red/blue) sorted, right? Just making sure that when I download red, that it is indeed the red edition. =)

Install went smooth on my 15" 2017 MacBook Pro with Razer Core X eGPU with VEGA 64 Didn't even had to do DDU just straight update from the March edition. Highly recommend to everybody to install Windows LTSC much faster then the Pro, no junk will be installed. With my config I never had the typical eGPU problems what you can read on the egpu.io site.
Just about to test the FPS...
Cheers Matt for you hard work!

Same goes for me with mbp 16 5500m blue edition, Cleared old drivers in safe mode with DDU 3 times, reinstalled new April blue edition. Now it crashes when I connect external display or launch a game in a full screen. I've upgraded from January 2020 blue edition.
EDIT:
Tried the red edition same problem

5300m here, MacBook Pro 16
Installed and it didn’t work. Had error in device manager. I just installed it over the January drivers.
Then I did it properly, DDU 3x and factory reset. Then installed. Worked like a charm. Thanks mat

It is strange that there are problems with some MBP 16" users.. It sounds like we all install it in the same way but with different resaults...

Well, we do all have a different setup. Windows home/pro/edu/whatever, sometimes apple silently switches out chips in their machines, so depending on the date bought, we might even have different hardware.
We can only guess at this point
