Thx for this information aurora. I'll see if I can let AMD know about the black screen issue. Probably worth submitting a bug report to them yourself too.

Out of curiosity I was given (by a friend) and ran the MBP 15" 2018 driver on the 2016 (it works just fine) and it's based on code between 18.6.1 and 18.7.1, before the resolution list fix (and also before they introduced the exclusive fullscreen issue). So 2018 owners lack 1080p and 720p as available resolutions in bootcamp.

The graphics cards are essentially the same though the new ones from 2018 have an 'X' at the end supposedly because they run at higher clock speeds. Either way I will release an updated driver when I am back from travelling the USA on August 7th.

Hello everyone!
I have one of the new 2018 MacBook pros. It runs well, but it is clocking down when it runs under full load for more than a few seconds. I believe it is related to power draw. This happens regardless of temperature, as I have dialed back the CPU to use less power. My temps are in the 70 degree range.
While your drivers fixed seems to have fixes that, they also broke clock speed reporting (which is fine) and temperature reporting (which is a bit less fine).
My question is, does the GPU still cool properly even when the driver isn't reporting temperatures? Will there at some point be a fix for this?
Thanks in advance.

I did install the latest version of windows 10 1803. Maybe AMD did end the support for this gpu. It’s also worth mentioning that while installing the display reconnects and you can hear the sound just like any other install but then I get the error. Just like lecorbu I’m on version 18.3.4 and it’s just fine. Thank you for your great work, I really appreciate it to have better drivers in order to play the latest games. I have this same problem. 8 Core Vega 56 iMac pro, the screen flashes a few times during the install, you hear the windows 'disconnect/connect' sound, and then... black screen, reboot, "automatic repair failed" -> have to reinstall boot camp. Just tried it on a fresh boot camp install and had the same problem as my old one that I've been using. I notice the OP says "If you have an iMac Pro, you may now see an option to select Vega 56 or Vega 64. DO NOT DO THIS otherwise you will cause a BSOD upon restart. You must still select 'Radeon Pro 580'. Read the instructions!!!!" At what point do you get that choice? The instructions with the w10 imac pro download say: 7) Now we are ready to install the new drivers. Click ‘Setup.exe’ in the driver folder to begin, clicking ‘Yes’ to allow permission for changes if prompted. Click ‘Express Install’ for a quick installation, or choose ‘Custom Install’ to select individual components to install. But it never asks what card? Are there a different set of instructions I'm missing? I seem to recall in some older version for the iMac pro you didn't use the ddu but just installed "On top" of the existing drivers, but I can't seem to find that instruction anywhere.

Ok, I've tried a few different scenarios so far, still no luck, same black screen / reboot / unable to load windows (even in safe mode) spiral.
I found that the non "imac pro" drivers contain a second install pdf called "iMac Pro Read Me First!.pdf" - this file is NOT in the package "W10-x64-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-18.5.2-BootCamp-iMacPro-Edition.zip"
Each of my scenarios so far has been on a clean boot camp install (no other way to rescue windows that I've found other than remove and reinstall boot camp) with the 1803 windows ISO update
W10-x64-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-18.5.2-BootCamp-iMacPro-Edition with DDU / setup.exe - black screen crash W10-x64-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-18.5.2-BootCamp-iMacPro-Edition with overwrite steps from iMac Pro Read Me First!.pdf - There is no option to choose any of the Radeon RX series drivers, even if you uncheck "show compatible" checkbox, choosing vega 56 - black screen crash W10-x64-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-18.5.2-V4-Bootcamp-XG-Edition with overwrite steps for iMac Pro Read Me First!.pdf and choosing rx 580 series - black screen crash
Going to try the 18.3.4 next with the iMac Pro 'overwrite' instructions and will update this one. Each try takes 20+ minutes or so since I have to reinstall boot camp. Open for suggestions if anyone else has some. I may try a system restore this time rather than a complete boot camp wipe, although it failed the first time I tried it.
Update: W10-x64-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-18.3.4-Bootcamp-XG-Edition with the Imac Pro instructions worked fine. (Choosing Radeon Pro 580). Going to see if I can update to the newer ones from this one. Update 2: Tried 18.5.2-V4 again, black screen. I had created a manual restore point before that, which WAS successful in restoring. Going to leave things at 18.3.4 for now I guess.
