IMO, better to let it go. There are obviously issues with this particular driver. Better to use the previous one, or preferably 18.3.4 if you have avoided the Windows Spring update. Mat, I guess you've been busy trying to fix the 18.5.2 driver this weekend, but please let us know when the iMac Pro alpha driver is ready. I have a fairly quiet week at work, and I'm ready for testing.

I could not get this version working so I went to 18.3.4 and that worked. Only issue is Steam crashes on startup now. Does Steam have issues with all these drivers?

works just fine for me. Are you the same person from the AMD forums? not heard of the issue of Steam crashing on 18.3.4 until today.

Can I confirm a few things before I update. Is the iMac Pro install for the latest drivers the old workaround of choosing the drivers for 580 through the device manager or is it back to DDU and then installing via the normal route? Also has this driver got issues with Pro. I see some people complaining about having to reinstall windows?

Just follow the simple instructions with thr driver, see pdf file. Everythings working fine here, Vega pro 64. If it should mess up Windows, just restart 3 times and enter safe mode, then DDU and reinstall Apple`s own driver.

I followed the instructions(run DDU in safe mode first), the system crashed with blue screen. After that I tried to install the new update with running the setup program, system crashed again during the installation, and I got no chance to go into the system again until I recover it.
I tried using a fresh Windows10 with fully up to date updates, but the problem still remain.
Is that better to do it in the old way? Just update from the device manager using RX580 driver.

Strange, it worked fine here. Btw. I installed the driver before the Spring update, although I doubt that makes a difference. Tbh. Apple's driver still works fine. Some people seem to struggle with this 18.5.2 driver in general (not just iMac Pro), for some reason. Probably best to go back to Apple's own graphics update (17.12), and wait for the next Bootcamp driver. Actually, 17.12 performs better in Witcher 3 (though probably a bit slower in the most recent games), so it's not like 17.12 is obsolete yet. I'd rather use a slightly older Vega Pro driver, than a newer 580 Pro driver - but that's me. Unless Mat has some other insights...

I read the instructions for the imac pro download file and it had the DDU way listed, which previously made my MAC go into a boot loop... I've have now done it the PDF way, so I'm hoping you're right otherwise I've screwed my Windows partition again! The reason for my comes from the sentence in Matt's opening post, which reads as follows: - "If you have an iMac Pro, you may now see an option to select Vega 56 or Vega 64. DO NOT DO THIS otherwise you will cause a BSOD upon restart. You must still select 'Radeon Pro 580'. Read the instructions!!!! " I don't see ANY of this information in the instructions on the iMac Pro download... like at all.

I don't know what to say other than - I downloaded the 18.5.2 iMac Pro driver, and followed Mat's instructions in the included pdf-file, and it worked.
Again, if you get a black screen - restart Windows 3 times, and it will boot into safe mode. The first alpha iMac Pro driver from Mat (several months ago) didn't work, but I still recovered Windows by doing this.
Otherwise, use WinClone. Make a backup of your Bootcamp partition while in macOS before trying this driver. It's very quick and easy to do.

Hi Mat, Thanks for the update. I've got the same problem as speedstefan "I cannot install the newest version on the MacBook Pro with AMD Radeon R9 M370X. It is always saying Error 1603 even though I installed the certificate" Thanks I have the same problem.

Mat HD: 18.7.1 from AMD fixes the resolution issue (as in, 1920x1080/1920x1200 are now visible), but lower-than-native resolutions still have a nasty bug in exclusive fullscreen games (does not occur in "borderless fullscreen" games) where the game renders to just a portion of the screen (which dimension depends on the chosen resolution) and the rest is all black. This on a MBP 2016 15" with a Radeon Pro 460. Oh well.
