Anyone with an iMac Pro tried FC5 benchmark? I seem to be getting below Vega56 fps average with my Vega64. Is this normal behaviour?

18.3.4 is the version which has official support for FC5. Earlier versions will likely have issues with the game, including the latest 18.3.3 on this site. I'll be releasing the new one tonight for everyone.

I downloaded the drivers and installed them using your iMac Pro workaround. Unfortunately the driver doesn't really improve fps. The 18.3.3 drivers cause massive stuttering and graphical glitching.

Mat probably knows more about this than I do, but my guess is as long as we're stuck using Radeon 580 drivers for our Vega GPUs, there will be issues like this. For instance Far Cry 3 crashes on startup, and Crysis 3 has huge framerate drops independent of video resolution and settings. Call Apple support, and ask when they will release a proper GPU driver for Bootcamp. The more people complain, hopefully the sooner something happens...

I noticed the stuttering too, even when frame rates were high. So, now I'm running 1440p ultra with V-Sync enabled which works great. I don't think the added latency with using V-Sync matters for this game. Edit - without V-Sync, the benchmark result is 66/75/95.

I’ve been comparing my results to the results found here www.kitguru.net/gaming/dominic-moass/far-cry-5-performance-analysis/

But really, the key is that it never drops below 60fps, so with V-Sync enabled (which caps the frames at 60) everything is buttery smooth.

Are you sure that AA and motion blur are on? Because I think Ultra default leaves them off. I get 78 with AA and motion blur off @ 1440p. If I had it on it would be a lot lower. So now I’m worried. Edit - I’ve just tested with AA and Motion Blur on and I have the same results as you. Approx 76 avg with a max of 94 and a minimum of 67.

Yeah, 10 core/Vega 64. I’m glad you are seeing similar results.

Thanks although below desktop Vega56 performance is still pretty poor:( I hope they officially fix the widows drivers and eek out the power that the card can and should produce. The other issue seems to be temps. The temps hit 90-94c on a regular basis, but the fans don’t seem to want to kick in. I understand wanting to keep the machine quiet but we really should have an option to manually crank them up.
