Crossposted at: setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=81562&postid=1872484#1872484I'm running the Crimson driver from late 2016 on my Mac Pro 2013-era with circa-2015 D700 graphics cards: Graphics Chipset AMD Radeon FirePro D700 (Bootcamp edition by bootcampdrivers.com). It works. It does have OpenCL: OpenCLâ„¢ Version 21.19.164.1 I am trying to fix this issue: "App version needs OpenCL but GPU doesn't support it". How to fix?

Have you tried installing the opencl sdk provided with the download? That should restore opencl capabilities.

Also I note that your drivers are from last year? How about updating them to the newest version?

Ok, thanks, I will try that. Are you sure though that OpenCL capabilities are not already there, since the ATI tool does report that they are there?

No for some reason the modded drivers do not install opencl properly. No idea why.

Is there a workaround? You had earlier mentioned manually re-installing the OpenCL drivers.

the workaround is installing the included openclsdk.

Super! Is it a self-explanator setup.exe or do I need to know more?

Run the file 'Install-OpenCL-AMD-SDK-v1.4.87' that comes with the download packages and it will download and install all the requires files for opencl functionality.

Ok I'm all set up now and am setting up the program that uses the OpenCL!
In the meantime, I have a question: I get this notification from AMD that it recommends turning on virtual resolution since my system display somehow qualifies as a high-dpi device (it's an 8 yeaar old plasma display, a Samsung). Do you recommend turning on the virtual resolution?

Yeah the graphics looks good without it, so I will leave it. GPU is now found and recognized by seti@home - no issues!
Thanks, great work, verything is working very well -
