Hello! I am experiencing an issue with the April 2021 Red Edition bootcamp driver on my MacBook Pro 16-inch with Radeon Pro 5500M. The driver works great on the internal display, but when I connect to an external display via HDMI on a USB-C hub, the internal display turns off (leaving only the external display active) and the driver stops working. My goal is to use my MacBook to game on my home theater system, but with the driver crashing I cannot play even the simplest of games. Of course, having both displays active simultaneously would also be a plus. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you! Observations after crash: - "Radeon Pro Software" is missing when right-clicking on the desktop.
- Attempting to launch Radeon Pro Software from Start displays a dialog stating "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware."
- The AMD Radeon Pro 5500M properties from Device Manager shows the message "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"
- No other display adapter is listed in Device Manager
- Unplugging the external display does not restore the internal display nor the graphics driver. I must restart the computer in order to return to operational conditions.
Regards, Dylan
