Hi Mat... It's been awhile, but I sent a PayPal last year when I installed Adrenalin 2020 August edition based on 20.8.3 for my MacBook Pro 2015. They've been working well, but it's probably time for me to upgrade to February 2021 edition, based on 21.2.1, which I've downloaded. Last time I used DDU to uninstall and followed your YouTube video you made. I notice that with the Feb 2021 version, you say "Begin with stock official Apple BootCamp drivers installed (do not uninstall with DDU or use setup.exe)" I'm confused? How to I get the original BootCamp drivers back installed to start from there on my Windows 10, now that I have the August edition based on 20.8.3 running? Thanks for any guidance. Regards, Doug That is for those who have problems installing the normal way (DDUing), mostly for 16-inch macbook pros. I would still suggest trying Mat's latest bootcampdriver install video and DDUing first then installing the normal way with setup.exe.

For the long version see my latest post in my 2019 iMac + Vega 48 thread: bootcampdrivers.freeforums.net/post/7883/threadShort version: Last night I (finally) installed Security Update 2021-002 Mojave and sundry updates. When I attempted to play Halo Reach the game consistently crashed less than a minute into the game. The last time it was a very hard crash. The screen froze and loud electrical noises forced me to yank my headphones off. Reminded me of the classic Mac days. Today I installed Adrenalin February 2021 Red Edition over the previous BCD dot com driver. Everything went perfectly, no DDU voodoo required. Afterwards the game was solid for the better part of an hour. I need to do more testing but I'm encouraged. Up next: Modern Warfare. It stopped working months ago. Perhaps the hang after loading a level has now mysteriously vanished.

The problem is back. I thought I'd fixed it but no. Here's the longer, sadder version of current events: Spoke Too SoonRoot canal tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Anyone having the issue of control centre running in the background taking up ~15-16% CPU?

Just ran Modern Warfare 2 in Mojave. Took forever to load, mouse WAY too sensitive. Oh, and it crashed after about ten minutes. I deliberately left the fans on automatic and they did rev up a couple of times before the game croaked—gracefully. It's been an hour since then and everything else is still working. A thorough search of the logs revealed no smoking gun, of course. The only good news out of all of this is that the latest Red edition may be OK. At least it worked fine up until the inevitable hard crash. BTW, the root canal took two hours and was downright boring (no pun intended). No pain. I haven't tried eating any corn on the cob or a reuben sandwich yet.

Problem SOLVED (probably). Short version: I've concluded that after the last firmware update my Apple and OWC RAM stopped playing nicely together. I was able to verify this using the memory test app Rember. I removed the 8GB of Apple RAM and now everything is back to "normal". Halo Reach was solid for almost two hours. Next step: restore the Winclone backup of Windows 10 with the February 2021 RED driver installed. Longer version: Problem Solved

February 2021 edition, based on 21.2.1, is now available for all users. Please test on your Mac in BootCamp and report back findings as soon as you can. Revert to your previous driver version if you have any issues. Use device manager to update your driver if you encounter any issues the DDU way (instructions available below).Change list....- Should now install properly for M290 and M390 (I found some code that was causing installation to fail for these users).
- Up to 9% increase in performance in The Medium @ 4K High settings, with Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 21.2.1 on the 16GB Radeon RX 6800XT graphics card, versus the previous software driver edition 21.1.1.
AMD Fixed issues....Display flicker or corruption may be experienced when two displays are connected to Radeon RX Vega series graphics products with at least one display set to a high refresh rate. Screen flickering might be observed when using MSI Afterburner. Radeon recording and streaming features may fail to enable on AMD Radeon HD 7800 series graphics products. Some models may fail to render or may render incorrectly when using SketchUp on Radeon RDNA graphics products. Some Samsung CRG9 series displays may experience a black screen when waking from sleep. Metro Exodus may experience intermittent application crashes with DirectX® Raytracing enabled. Video playback on secondary displays may experience stutter while playing Doom Eternal on the primary display. Downloads....Red gaming editionBest for gaming, emulators and general use for most users.: DOWNLOAD RED GAMING EDITION Blue enterprise editionBest for scientific software and enterprise users. Fixes resolution issues for Radeon Pro 500 and 5000 series above 4K resolutions (mainly affecting iMacs and users with 5K monitors). Designed for scientific computing. Does not include gaming features such as ReLive, gaming profiles etc. : DOWNLOAD BLUE GAMING EDITION
As a side note: I spend many hours of my time creating these drivers for everyone. Thanks to those of you who have donated to help keep the website running. If you have a spare £/$ etc. please consider donating to the cause. Thank you. Donate Enjoy this release! Device manager update instructions- Begin with stock official Apple BootCamp drivers installed (do not uninstall with DDU or use setup.exe). If you have January edition installed on your MacBook Pro 16" then you can start with these drivers instead.
- Open 'Device Manager' (search for it in the search box) and select your GPU from the 'Display adaptors' drop-down.
- Right-click and select "Update driver"
- Select "Browse my computer for drivers" (lower option) and navigate to the downloaded drivers folder. Make sure the 'Include subfolders' checkbox is ticked then click 'Next'.
- The driver will now update with the screen flickering a couple of times.
- To install the AMD software run "setup.exe" from the downloaded driver folder. Click on "Additional Options". Make sure the "Factory reset" checkbox is NOT ticked (it isn't by default normally), then click install.
- Restart and enjoy!
The issue is visible with both red and blue versions playing cyberpunk 2077. FPS drops from stable 35/40 to 20ish on 5500M 8GB VRAM. Reverted to Jan Drivers. Cheers, M.

Well, this update failed for me. I have a MacBook Pro 15” 2017 (Model A1707) Intel Core i7 3.1 GHz machine with an internal Radeon 560 dGPU. I'm also using an Sapphire AMD 5700XT graphics card mounted in a Razer X Chroma and running updated and current Windows 10 under Bootcamp from a standalone external Samsung T7 SSD, which works great by the way. I have a Dell 27" Gaming Monitor plugged into the back of the 5700XT via a Displayport connection. I've been running 20.8.3 successfully, having installed it following Mat's video and sent him PayPal support. Because I had read that it improved frame rates, I finally decided to update to this new 21.2.1 driver, again following Mat's video exactly. Unfortunately, the 21.2.1 driver installs fine, but when I boot it HANGS during that process with Windows 10 process just sitting at the spinning wheel. After a whole bunch of trying different things, I finally restored the 20.8.3 drivers and everything is working fine again. Anyone else have this issue? Any help or advice (Mat?) would be appreciated. Thanks.... Regards, Doug

Hi,
First time poster. Thank you for putting so much useful information in once place!
I was finally able to get the Adrenalin February 2021 Blue Enterprise edition working on my 2019 MacBook Pro 16" (A2141) in Boot Camp w/ my Blackmagic eGPU (RX 580), but only after reverting Windows 10 back to v1903-19H1 (18362.30). I previously tried the latest build of Windows 10 as well as v1903-19H1 (18362.356) instead of the .30 build, both of which resulted in the Error 12 issue.
Is there any chance of future Windows 10 updates being able to work with eGPUs in Boot Camp? Only asking as the Microsoft Store / Xbox App seem to have issues on v1903-19H1 (18362.30).
Thanks again, Alex
