Hello guys i created this thread to ask you tips and tricks to manage high temperatures. Look im kinda new on this field of installing drivers, and now that i am running a red version i usually play low requirement games such as TF2 and Lol. However, i've noticed that when i try to play something more demanding like Warzone, the temperatures hit the 80°c and 90°c as soon as i play a single match. It makes me a little bit worried, because as far as i know hitting 100°c could be dangerous for the computer components. I installed MacsFanControl but i would like to know which settings work better for you guys. I play on iMac 2020 5500xt. All your recommendations to this newbie(me) are gonna be well received. I wish you are having a great christmas month!!

My M295x constantly reaches 100 degrees very soon after starting to play a game. I've had the iMac for over 6 years without it damaging. So you will be just fine

MacsFanControl to turn fan 100% and ThrottleStop to disable turboboost. Without turboboost you get like 10-30c lower temps. I play csgo with 240fps limit and no temp problems. Download ThrottleStop and click Disable Turbo and that's it.

I wish you are having a great christmas month!! Try limiting your FPS to 60 in those games. The higher the FPS, the more power the GPU uses, which in turn causes more heat. Because iMacs have a 60 hz max refresh rate, there's no point in going past 60 FPS, unless you're using a external monitor with a higher refresh rate. Use QuickCPU to disable turbo boost or limit the boost clocks, and follow Mat's guide to unlocking wattman/tuning in radeon software and undervolt your GPU.

Use QuickCPU to disable turbo boost or limit the boost clocks, and follow Mat's guide to unlocking wattman/tuning in radeon software and undervolt your GPU. This is the point many people fail to understand. You want to have the high fps on csgo to lower system latency and most importantly having a low frame time. Limiting the fps to 60 wouldn't be a good idea because one will literally feel the lag and all the stuttering with high frame times.
