Hi all,
Tried installing the 2020 December driver and can no longer start bootcamp Windows 10 Home normally.
On a Macbook Pro 16" 2019 with AMD Radeon Pro 5300M/Intel UHD Graphics 630.
During instructions after extracting the DDU files, restart+Shift, safe mode boot, extracted DDU folder no longer present. Extracted again, continued up to software install with factory reset, but just left with black screen after restart. Can only restart to bootcamp and select Mac OS or keep trying to start windows until I eventually reach the troubleshoot menu where I can boot in safe mode or other options.
If someone could help me return to original windows settings or correctly install I would appreciate it!

try first boot windows into safe mode and remove with DDU. and then try to start windows again. And i think you dont have to in the install process tick that box with factory reset. just install and then reboot

I just tried the setup again without the factory reset selected and it stopped due to Error 192 - system has restricted installation settings active. Not sure what this means.

You should do like this. start with offcial from amd or bootcamp drivers you download from mac side and then you download the decemeber drivers from Mat and do like that. Begin with stock official Apple BootCamp drivers installed (do not uninstall with DDU or use setup.exe). If you have January edition installed on your MacBook Pro 16" then you can start with these drivers instead. Open 'Device Manager' (search for it in the search box) and select your GPU from the 'Display adaptors' drop-down. Right-click and select "Update driver" . Select "Browse my computer for drivers" (lower option) and navigate to the downloaded drivers folder. Make sure the 'Include subfolders' checkbox is ticked then click 'Next'. The driver will now update with the screen flickering a couple of times. To install the AMD software run "setup.exe" from the downloaded driver folder. Click on "Additional Options". Make sure the "Factory reset" checkbox is NOT ticked (it isn't by default normally), then click install. Restart and enjoy!

You need to run setup.exe as an administrator for the install to work properly.
