What is the error that you get? are you not able to even open the game? FYI, i am on macbook PRO 16 Inch with 5300M graphics, using dec 2020 Blue drivers. Game is on 1.04 version and i can play on 1920x1200 resolution on low settings. vsync to 60 fps. Initially start off with conStant 60 fps... However i get gpu clock throttling down from 1200 to 800 plus after 20 min or so of play, frames drop to 45 ish... suspect it is due to throttling, so wanted to know if there is anyway i can restrict the gpu core clock to 1100 in an attempt to avoid throttling. I want to know it too. Because my 5600m just falls to 400-500mhz after only 5 minutes. I want to set the clock to 1000 MHz, it’s just suitable for 30 FPS at high preset graphics. Hi there, You can try to use MPT since I heard it works with 5500m and 5600m GPU. The MPT has the ability to restrict the GPU core clock so that it does not fall below 1000mhz. www.igorslab.de/en/red-bios-editor-and-morepowertool-adjust-and-optimize-your-vbios-and-even-more-stable-overclocking-navi-unlimited/3/Further info can be obtained from this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/macgaming/comments/hl9qq1/fix_debugging_and_fixing_mbp_16_throttling/

Hello, please I need help I’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work. I got a MBP16 i9 Radeon pro 5500 M 32 GB. I downloaded both red and blue (ddu methods) December versions and i still can’t run cyberpunk 2077. It crashes almost as soon as I open it. Tried to install the new patch and I get the same thing... any suggestions? Make sure that you did a clean install by using DDU? Remove and no restart 2 x times in Safe mode and lastly remove and restart in safe mode. When you boot back into windows, then run the setup for either red/blue Dec 2020 drivers.

Are you using Steam version or GOG version of the game?

Very good performance for me. MBP16 w/ 5600M iGPU and 6800XT eGPU. have played Cyberpunk 2077 with the 6800 XT? If so, how does it perform? Yes I did. Ok performance but I think must have some eGPU loss. I play on 2K Ultra, have CAS on dynamic with minimum 40 fps. I get 35-40 fps in busy areas and 57-60(capped)fps in doors. I got lowest fps when driving fast thru busy areas, could drop to 28-30. Game runs smoothly without crash and stutter or lag.

Well, I mean I can play 2077 but only at 20-30fps, even lowest graphics will eventually drop to 30 FPS. No option possible for 60 FPS. And with dec edition, Assassins Creed Valhalla often doesn’t respond after I play for a while, it’s weird because with official driver I never had that problem. In my case, I find most of thermal throttling is not because of the GPU but the CPU, even the GPU frequency dropped, it is a result of CPU frequency been throttled and bottlenecked the GPU. so I use ThrottleStop run on Performance setting. Helped in my case. Also could try MacFunControl to prevent damage.

Hey People that are trying to run CyberPunk 2077. Wait few weeks or month when some patches like from game and so on is updated. Because one guy who has imac 27" 2020 with 5700XT is having similar problem with fps and going up and down and depends if he is inside or outside and has some lag spikes or not enough smooth. So i would say it has something do with Patches from CyberPunk 2077. Just saying support.cdprojektred.com/en/cyberpunk/pc/sp-technical/issue/1556/cyberpunk-2077-system-requirementsand maybe look at this guys before like running game on 2K or something what you need

I can play Cyberpunk with a MacBook Pro 16'' i9 - 5500. Only way to avoid throttling is using the well-known thermal pads physical mods on the laptop VRM modules. However, even when drawing constant 45w to 50w I get subpar performance, I've v-synced the game at 30fps at 1920x1200 (black bars appear at top and bottom of the screen) with CAS at 90%. Mostly, performance is locked at 30 fps without many drops, however, driving kills performance in many places. Most of the time I fps drop to around 25 - 28 fps for small periods of time, reverting to 30fps. It should not be a streaming problem as I have the game installed in a 950MB/s SSD, and CPU is clearly not bottlenecking this weak GPU. Either it is a VRAM issue ( 4GB - 3.5 used) or simply, the game needs more patches (clearly it does).
So, if you have an older MacBook than a 16'', forget about cyberpunk unless you want a slideshow at 720p. Even if you have a 5500 - 5600, you will need a physical mod, patience and will to destroy your eyes at 30 fps if using a mouse.
The game is great though, but for a proper experience you need a RTX card + DLSS...

Hi Matt,
I am using the mbp 15' late-2016 with radeon pro 460 and a msi 5700xt for the eGPU.
Do I suppose to always keep up with the latest drivers in 2020 column under [download], or go for those listed in the "2019" column that says "for iMac, Mac Pro, mbp(non-vega) and eGPUs? I accidentally update my 1903 system to 2004 and just manage to reinstall 1903, ended up which driver I used last time...
I was a bit puzzled for drivers listed in 2020 didn't mention which one is a better use for eGPU, or all of them works fine with eGPU from now on?
Best.

Yeeeeeah. MBP 16" with 5600m. December Red drivers, high settings and 1080p in Cyberpunk - 50-60 fps. And with these settings in MPT (no throttling, but temp at 93 C):

Really thank you! I’d like to try it tomorrow. But I think I need a cooler if I use MPT. It may be dangerous.

I noticed a bit of a drop in performance and my first CTB on Cyberpunk 2077 with the Dec. Blue vs the Nov. Blue driver on the 5700XT 16gb. Not sure what the problem is.
