I installed the Red Version on the 2020 iMac 27 inch, 5500xt. At first the resolution seems to be a little bit weird but it can be fixed on the screen config, 3840x2160 is the higher resolution i could pick. Finally i could play warzone on my iMac pretty well, the fans sound a little bit noisy but i used to play on ps4 so fan noise isn't a problem at all. Thanks for the update Mat!! Use MacFansControl to control fan speed: crystalidea.com/macs-fan-control/download

Awesome news, tried the Nov 2020 with the normal install (DDUx3 and setup) on my 2020 imac 5700xt. Works! Witcher 3 (which had been the most reliable crash) is working flawlessly. Passmark DX12 gets me a score of 61, which is a 7% improvement over the AMD drivers. Still have the startup resolution thing, where I have to manually change it from stretched to useable. Gonna look into if there's a way to force an override.

Yeah, I'm just torn on which I'd rather. Resolution slightly more annoying or a bump in fps. (DX12 with Passmark is a 61 with Red, 59 with Blue, 57 with AMD). I'm just glad the whole package is working, this is great.

Hi! I installed November Edition Red drivers on my mabcook pro 2018 (radeon pro 555x). When my gpu temp is more than 70 °С, my gpu frequency drops from 907 to 756 and so fps drops. How can I fix it? And can I increase max temp from 70 to 90 for example?

Thanks for testing out this build. The last bootcamp build that worked for my was was the November 2019 release so I doubt AMD will ever properly support the D700 again. Even AMD's own bootcamp drivers crash with the D700 www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/apple-boot-camp . Yeah, I’m on November 2019 bootcamp drivers too now! I initially thought my card was faulty when every 2020 release (including official) would eventually crash, but with November 2019 bootcamp drivers I’ve had 0 issues. It’s rock solid. Seems AMD did change something between 2019 and 2020 drivers that just broke D700 compatibility.

Appreciate your efforts Mat HD - the technical aspects I'd probably never understand but thanks for your hard work nonetheless.
It's recommended to use Blue Enterprise for 500 cards - I have an older 2017 iMac/Radeon Pro 575. Since more time is spent gaming though, it would be nice to at least try the Red Edition - but I don't think the compatibility is there. Would it totally break my system if I installed RED? There was mention of some 5k display's having issues.. Currently things are ok with gaming - but gamers aren't satisfied with just "OK". Maybe I'm capped though, idk.

I tested every release since Jan 20 using a MBP 16 entry model with Division 2 benchmark. Nov 20 driver has fixed the freeze bug found in Oct release, but in terms of performance Jan 20 still has the best fps and low latency.

I did re-enable ULPS since October edition onwards for all cards for improved overall stability but if you want to squeeze extra fps out you can disable it within the settings of MSI Afterburner

Can someone tell me if a benchmark of 4619 is OK in Vrmark Orange room? I have the mbp 2019 16”, 5500m 8gb, 32 gb ram. I tried to apply some advice in throttlestop and msi burner, but Im not sure of what Im doing ;-) Thanks Matt anyway, awesome work!

I realized that if I setup any of the new drivers after the august edition with or without 3x deleting them I get fps drops. So a fix I found to these if anyone is wondering is to resetup the august version (it's still the most stable one) and then install the latest ones with or without 3x DDU. Last time I did it without any DDU at all and it works perfect. Only thing I did was factory reset on the setup itself.

I reenabled it which improves stability but it can also result in fps drops as a result of thermal throttling.

I'm a bit confused here since you said to disable it for juicing out more fps on the same page here but here that it might fps drop because of the thermal throttling.

My apologies - this is what happens when you try doing more than one thing at a time. Disabling ULPS improves fps and reduces the risk of downthrottling but at the risk of increasing driver instability.

One more thing about the ULPS, I have just seen a video on youtube who tried Witcher 3 on a 5700xt with ULPS on and off and the only difference was the gpu temperature, which was sometimes significantly lower but the fps was the same all the time. Is this same for us too? Is getting higher fps more like theoretical here than it it is practical? Maybe this is a feature that works great with macs I don't really know. Thanks for all the replies!
