Hey all, so I was trying to upgrade my drivers to get some more performance, but every single driver I've tried has produced fps microstuttering every other second. It feels like the frames are "chugging" along. Games will start smooth, but after about a minute or so they go from 60 fps steady to about 48 with dips to 28 every other second.
I had a driver from here installed which I was foolish not to write down before attempting to upgrade. I'd had nothing but success with Bootcampdrivers (THANK YOU) for many years and didn't even think to write down what I was using before, but I remember glancing at 19.50.xx.xx? and it was using the 2020 UI, not the smaller 2019 version. I had decent FPS with this one, but I'm pretty sure I've installed each 2020 version with no success. What's changed?
I have been triple-removing with DDU while in safe mode, rebooting after each install, using macsfancontrol at 3k RPM, and windows is up to date on all updates.
Does anyone here have my card/machine and know of one that might work? Thanks in advance!

Nothing has changed. I find everything working without microstuttering on my own M295X. Try this: Install the latest BETA version of Afterburner. Go to the preferences and ensure 'Enable constant voltage' is turned on. Ensure that ULPS is disabled. Make sure DDU is the latest version. Install October edition. In radeon settings make sure the texture processing is set to 'Performance' and OpenGL triple buffering is 'Enabled'. Set MacsFanControl to be 'Based on GPU diode' and for max RPM around 75C. For games where you get well above 60 FPS, set a target FPS limit of 59 FPS.
Let me know how that works out for you.

Hey! Thanks for the quick response. I was able to successfully follow those steps, although the improvement isn’t 100%. There’s still stuttering at the same frequency, but less noticeable and not back to the performance before my screw-up.
Are there any other changes I could make here?

Bumping this. I tried lowering my core clock from 850 to 825, as I saw that helped someone else with stuttering issues, but it provided only minor increases. Still stuttering quite a bit.

I’m not really sure what else I can suggest. Is your Windows power plan set to performance?

Yep it is. A few things I could try -- Should I try a blue version? Does MSI need to open with windows and always stay open?
