Hey everyone,
I recently got my hands on a Valve Index for my 2020 iMac with the XT 5700 GPU.
The headset runs great with the Apple Bootcamp drivers. However, a lot of more recent VR games require the latest version of the AMD drivers to run. However, I cannot get the custom drivers to play nice with the headset. Ive tried both the Blue and Red October editions.
When the headset is connected the machine's fans spin up to max speed, even when the headset is idle. This wasn't and issue with the default drivers. Every few minutes it goes back to normal, then the fans suddenly kick up again. Most of the time the headset won't show an image. Multiple restarts of Steam VR are required to get it work. When I do get it running, it stops working out of the blue afyera bout 2 minutes.
Is there a way to get the custom drivers working witha VR headset? I have the impression the iMac's weird internal dual-screen 5k setup is causing issues.
Any help or tips will be much appreciated!

UPDATE: It seems to work since the Jan update. The Red drivers make a huge difference in performance in VR compared to the Apple signed Blue drivers so I can highly recommend.
