Updated display drivers from device manager. Installed software, got an error but installed software again and its working.
Is it safe to update to the latest version of windows 10. I am currently stuck on 1903 183.62 since future workings were not working.
Macbook Pro 2019 RTX 5700XT
Yes I am running Win10 v2004 and I was able to install this Adrenalin Oct2020 Blue exactly as you said: updating from Device Manager will fail at first try, but on the second try it worked.
Is systray's Radeon Pro settings supposed to work? That says driver doesn't match, so I can't use those settings.
Also about refresh rate: how do I get past 59 Hz? My monitor supports 144 Hz but I could not figure out how to get anything above 59 Hz. Even 60 Hz doesn't work, and I can't get any higher values appear at all.
EDIT: I bought a USB-C to DisplayPort cable and with that (while USB-C connected directly to MacBook), I got 170 Hz immediately (as it is supposed to be, according to the specs). HDMI should've worked at 144 Hz but now I found out that my StartTech.com DKT30CHVAUSP USB hub had a bottle neck: www.startech.com/en-us/cards-adapters/dkt30chvausp#tech--specs (max 60 Hz refresh rate for the HDMI port).
EDIT2: Apparently it was possible and easy to install Setup.exe of the Adrenalin Blue Edition after doing that Device Manager update trick. And only after installing that Setup.exe did the Radeon Pro settings get updated. (I also installed "AddTrust External CA Root.cer" and "Install-OpenCL-AMD-SDK-v1.4.87.exe" from the installation package, not sure if they were relevant or not.)
I been unable to install this on my Macbook Pro 2020 (5600m). I tried everyway but every time it ends of in error 1603. Can anyone help me here? I tried so far installing the default driver bootcamp then updating via device manager and when i try to get back the control panel using setup.exe it errors in 1603. I cannot install using DDU everything and straight up installing October version either. Same error. Please help
Just a quick feedback. I tried Adobe Photoshop (newest version) on the October 2020 blue edition driver and it complained something about the GPU compatibility. Then I installed the Apple Boot Camp Software Graphics Driver (Boot Camp Unified Driver R4 for Windows 10) v20.10 from here www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/apple-boot-camp (slightly older driver) and now Photoshop doesn't complain. Preferences / Performance says Detected Graphics Processor AMD Radeon Pro 5500M.
I also played video on VLC, fullscreen, both drivers worked fine. However on MPC-BE v1.5.5 build 5433, neither driver is compatible or perhaps MPC-BE itself is just buggy. The fullscreen of a video playback quickly switches off the monitor or the screen goes completely black (60 Hz monitor refresh works better than 100+ Hz). (The culprit could be anywhere.)
