The October 2020 release crashes on the mac pro with dual D700 cards. I sent in a crash report to AMD but I doubt they'll do anything with it. For that matter even AMD's boot camp drivers crash on my mac pro www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/apple-boot-camp. The November 2019 release is the last version that runs correctly on my mac pro. Bump.

The new official drivers work for the older Mac Pros so use those as they are based on late September edition drivers dates 23/09/20.

Thanks for all the great work Mat. Would it be possible to add support for HDR on the in-built MBP 16 display?
In MacOS Big Sur the in-built display supports HDR (well, "XDR" really since max brightness is capped at 500nits rather than 700) - for example when playing Netflix through Safari I'm able to use Dolby Vision, and it actually works meaning I can see the difference in dynamic range with XDR checked/unchecked in display settings.
However in Windows 10 it doesn't work. While I'm able to set Stream HDR Video to yes in HD Color Settings, the Netflix app does not offer Dolby Vision. If I look in dxdiag, Monitor Capabilities shows HDR not supported and Advanced Color shows not supported.
Looks to me like the display driver is not reporting its HDR capability to Windows, unlike MacOS. Is that something you could fix in a driver update?

Working well on a 2016 MBP (13,3) w/ 460, though I've only played some D3 with a friend since updating.

Shame this update hasn't fixed the MBP 16" with the 5500M cards. Still get horrible FPS 20-30 minutes after perfect gameplay. I have been hoping something would fix this but honestly not sure. Between every update since the release l have had such on and off experiences. At one point l got a solid 300fps constant in Rainbow 6 Siege and it was all perfect... then l updated one time and it went to hell. Hopefully something good comes out of the next release or l might have to buy a E-GPU for my gaming sessions.

This is so awesome! I'm on Macbook Pro 2019 5500, and the drivers from here was fucking up no matter what I did. Could not go clamshell mode without crashing and could never boot again. Could not press some settings in AMD without crashing and could never boot again. Both RED and BLUE. With the official drivers - everything just works. Been wasting hours today, trying to get clamshell to work on the drivers from this page.

It is a known issue about an area inside the Macbook, that is overheating, causing the CPU to throttle. That area don't have a sensor, so you wont see it show up in monitoring programs. You can fix this issue, by applying thermal pads on the chips/VRAM that are overheating. After applying this fix the heat will exit on the bottom of your Macbook and the CPU does not throttle heavily anymore, and your fps will stay good. To have even better heat dissipation, use Macbook in clamshell mode with underside well aired (only with the thermal pad fix - otherwise it does not matter) I use mine in a vertical stand.

I have tried both the August and October Blue drivers on my new iMac with a 5700XT. Both drivers cause the fans to run at full speed

This seems to be a deeper issue of compatibility as even AMD hasn't updated the Apple drivers to include the newer iMac. I hope they get to it soon...

I've tried all those steps and they don't work. Plus I don't get this error on the official 19.50 driver.
