I was testing these drivers on my macbook pro late 2019 with Radeon 5500M 8GB. They work flawlessly IF I'm using native screen resolution. Changing it to any other crashes the driver. Any chances idea what could be done to fix that?

About ULPS, are they only enabled for the 16inch? Is ULPS sth to do with Low Power, cause I have MBP 2017 and maybe boost battery life? Sorry if this is all incorrect.

I can re-enable for other graphics cards yes but older ones will start stuttering if I do that as ulps detects high temperatures then starts throttling the card. Disabling ulps for older cards does cause poorer battery life yes but at the expense of smooth fps.

i installed the red drivers on my 2020 imac 5700 xt and my fan is blowing full blast. can't seem to figure out how to get it to stop. this is the first time i've ever installed these drivers on my mac before, followed the instructions with the DDU and factory reset, install went well, except for after installing i had my display as a mirrored display on my main display. was able to fix that by changing resolution settings. looking for any insights here on how to get the fans to turn off. To control your fan, you can install MacFansControl: crystalidea.com/macs-fan-controlwhat settings do i put on the fan control so that i dont melt my laptop and can game Genshin Impact properly

The October 2020 release crashes on the mac pro with dual D700 cards. I sent in a crash report to AMD but I doubt they'll do anything with it. For that matter even AMD's boot camp drivers crash on my mac pro www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/apple-boot-camp. The November 2019 release is the last version that runs correctly on my mac pro.

Red drivers are working flawlessly so far on my MBP16 5500M. I played Star Wars Squadron on VR for about an hour and no performance issues whatsoever. Also noticed that GPU freq goes down to 0mhz when unused whereas on the Sept release it did only to 400, so I guess that’s a good thing as it might save some battery. Edit: I’m on windows 10 dev channel playing on the internal screen and followed the DDU x 3 procedure. I never had the issues described here in the forum, not even with previous releases. Just curious as now that I've installed thermal pads, my 5500M performs very well. What other games have you tried in VR? And what VR headset do you use and how is it set up? I play on an Oculus Quest through the Link cable. Among the games that I've tried are Saints and Sinners which performs decently on low settings, Blade and Sorcery and HL: Alyx but performance on those isn't good enough for VR. Worth noting that I also did the VRM mod otherwise it wouldn't sustain long gaming sessions. FOr those other games I ended up getting an RTX 2070 egpu which allowed me to game on High settings but I still like the idea of portabiliy and being able to take my laptop and play on any room I like so that's why I'm still interested on getting better perfromance out of my MBP16.

I can install it with device manager trick, but it crashes on restart when windows starts to load radeon settings. Oddly, August edition worked better.
I had hoped that when Matt enabled ULPS for October edition it would finally work. But I guess its a deeper problem. I too have sent crash reports to AMD but honestly if I were AMD I'd focus on the new upcoming chips and not on some 7 year old machine.
Oh well, November 2019 edition is the one that works great and doesnt crash even when crossfire is enabled so I'll stick with that.

If I could enable, are there any steps. If not, then would it be possible to do a ULPS enabled driver for other Macs, like my Radeon Pro 555. No rush, only do it if you have time. You need some rest!

Did u used MorePowerTool (it helped me to improve stability and FPS on October drivers). P.S. I have 5500m.

Hello Everyone,
Updated display drivers from device manager. Installed software, got an error but installed software again and its working.
One question,
Is it safe to update to the latest version of windows 10. I am currently stuck on 1903 183.62 since future workings were not working.
Macbook Pro 2019 RTX 5700XT

Does this new version work for mb16, i7, 5300m? I have been using the 5600m official driver so far, and that works okay, but am always interested if new drivers works better // CleaN

Installed October Red on the MBP 16inch 5300M using the driver update method. Seemed to run ok, but had a few graphics glitches in the games I tried (Doom Eternal / Mad Max / RE2) plus noticed lower framerates. Went back to April Blue, still seem to be the most consistent for me outputting steady 75fps to an external monitor.
