Hey guys, Im using a base level MBP 16", i7 16gb RAM and 5300M. I installed the August 2020 Red drivers using the install video and have had no black screen issues. However, I only get 20fps on medium settings playing witcher 3. I hadn't downloaded the game or tested it prior to this, it's my first time using bootcamp. I'm also using quick cpu and mac control with the settings from this video. Is this normal performance or could I be getting higher frames?
Edit: I get 60fps for the first few minutes and then frame drops to 20fps

The only guaranteed fix that exists so far for any MBP 16 to stop thermal throttling is to install thermal pads on the VRMs. I have done this fix and in some cases I have seen 3x the performance. https://www.reddit.com/r/macbookpro/comments/gs6bal/2019_mbp_16_vrm_cooling_mod/

Here's a good video on it: In terms of warranty, if anyone at Apple or an authorized third-party repair place sees it, then they can void your warranty. However, if you need to send the laptop in, all you have to do is open the laptop and take the pads out, clean it, and then no one will know.
