Look at the posts on previous pages. Works fine if you update via device manager to August edition from January edition. This worked, but the settings for Radeon says I need to update. then run August edition setup.exe without ticking factory reset and it should install the latest radeon software only.

memory clock never goes lower than 1500MHz given no 3D demanding process running in the background (fresh boot) is this considered an issue/bug? this persists in all releases is it just me or others are also seeing this as well? dear developer, understanding one shouldn't be asking too much on your work given they're not paying for it. Still wonder if you are aware of this?

Should I install Red or Blue for Mac Pro 2019 with XDR display? i would say Blue Version because of the display resolution

MacPro D500 Update: August 2020 Blue drivers has this odd problem. When powering up the system the screen goes blank and will take a minute before it automatically restarts. Once it does the system works normally. Possible solution: 1. Install MSI Afterburner 2. Under General Settings: a. Master Graphics Processor - Set to GPU 2 (For some weird reason Windows sets the secondary gpu (which doesn’t have a physical display connection) as the primary gpu. b. Make sure "Synchronize settings for similar graphics processors" is not checked c. Enable hardware controlling and monitoring. d. Disable ULPS - Uncheck (Ultra Low Power State prevents the other gpu from entering this state which I’m guessing is causing the crash since the system isn’t able to deliver the required power). e. Uncheck Erase autosaved startup settings. 3. Set - Start with Windows & Start with Minimized (Optional) Restart Note: Leave the clock speeds (both core and memory) at stock max (725 Mhz for Core & 1270 for Memory) Going to try August 2020 Red drivers tonight. Mat HD Is there any way to force Windows to use the physical primary gpu or is that on Apple’s head? Edit: August 2020 Red refuses to play nice with my setup. Back on Blue edition I managed to get a proper performance boost. If any of my fellow MacPro 6,1 (Late 2013 a.k.a Trashcan MacPro) users would like to give it a shot: 1. Follow standard installation instructions for Blue edition drivers (Red edition doesn't play nice with D500s I guess.) 2. Once up and running disable MGPU VR (Crossfire). (It may take a restart or two to get the system stable enough.) 3. Disable the GPU that Radeon Pro declares as Primary using Device Manager. These steps forces Windows and thus AMD Radeon Pro to mark the GPU with the display connection as primary (Translation: GPU Core & Memory Clocks work correctly) Note: I still run MSI Afterburner with the above mentioned settings.

Have tested with apex legend and league of legend that the fps with original driver are lower fps but stabler compare to the bootcampdriver in all releases. Don't know if Apple updates their bios or not , tested cinebench r20 in windows10 2004 with default setting the tdp of CPU is constant 60w and no more thermal throttling ( macOS 10.15.6 ) The constant memory clock may be the reason of gpu vrm throttling .(Same issues of mbp16 with high temperture connecting external monitor, also happen in other amd 5xxx series gpu with official amd driver.)

The August Red drivers are working beautifully on my iMac Pro Vega64. I installed using Device Manager and followed that with the Adrenaline software. Thank you, Matt! How did you install the Adrenaline Software separately without installing the driver again as well?

Thanks. I did DDU 3 times in safe mode, rebooted, installed the official Boot Camp driver, restarted, updated to the August driver via device manager, rebooted and then installed the latest software but still get awful performance unfortunately. In Fortnite my frames go from like 180 down to 25 all the time, not just micro stutters but huge frame drops and freezes. Basically every driver of the 2020 ones has been like that for me on the Vega64 although I felt like I had the April ones running something like smooth but I never had the software installed for them, I just use device manager to update the driver - so maybe it's the 2020 software that causes issues for me

Yeah the original drivers memory clock speed does not run at full speed all the time. Interestingly, no one has raised this out. Perhaps as long as it is operational, no one (developer as well) gives a fcuk. Well, to me it is about power usage. Constantly drawing 14W of power and heating up the machine but no productivity is nonsense. In contrast, when operating in power saving clock speed 190MHz, only 7W power is consumed.

I suspect the constant draw of power is a bug as it doesn't happen with other graphics cards. Perhaps if I reimplement ULPS (ultra power saving) for your card then the dynamic downclocking will return. Also did u specify which graphics card this was for?
