Hey Guys, Did someone actually overclocking on a mbp '18 Radeon Pro 555x? I want to overclock it by myself without using Auto-overclocking feature of AMD Software. But i'm not cpmpletely sure about the safe max overclocking with this graphiccard... I will wait a couple of Days then i will start testing it by myself and post the results here in this thread. Thank you and happy overclocking

I'm by no means an expert on this, but I don't think it's worth it even if you succeed. It's more than likely that you won't be able to overclock to the point that you gain a massive boost without damaging your hardwares, even if you get a little boost out of this your hardware lifespan will shorten. Thermal has always been an issue for gaming on Mac, my MBP 15 2017 can probably fry an egg when it's running games so I don't even wanna know what your MBP would be like when you overclock it. Anyway good luck.

Anyway good luck. You are completely right. I can’t go on more then 1180 MHz Core clock without raising Voltage in MSI. If I do raising voltage , temperatures of 95+ •C are reached within minutes and then crashing. The only safe point is AMD Auto Overclocking which goes to just 957 MHz instead of standard 907 MHz. But thats enough for letting my play SCUM on Epic Settings (Most Settings not All) Before it was lagging like hell. But now soooo smooth. So my intention is to buy an extern graphic card, or new gaming hardware laptop or tower and Apple or not Apple I’m not sure anyway. Maybe Mac isn’t best choose for gamin is it? Greets

If you have the money then go for a PC Build, it's worth your cash more. You wanting to play with Epic settings is all the more reason to build a PC. Only choose eGPU setup when you really have to because a good video card + egpu enclosure can have the same price as a PC that has way better performance.
