Hello there
First of all, I am not an expert in this field, but I have been on a longer mission where I have tried to optimize bootcamp on my MacBook Pro 16 ".
This thread is not meant as a solution, but as a step in the right direction for gaming.
I just want to share my experiences and I want to hear about you - please share!
All I have done is gather the data I have been able to fint on the subject ancombine it to a full guide. I cannot take credit for these optimizations!
My system:
- Macboop Pro 16, "16GB ram, 5500M 4GB, 1TB
- Monitor AOC 24C2U, Connected with USB Hub + HDM Icable
- Tweaking software:
Mat's Red bootcampdriver (Jan 2020 FPS)
Throttle Stop (v 8.70)
Mac Fan Control (v 1.5.6)
MorePowerTool
Important!
These adjustings of your system are your own responsibility, if you change something it is on your own risk - overheating your system and, at worst, burning components is possible.
That being said, if you follow the guide, these are small adjustments and on my system I have fine temperatures that don't scare me.
Here's how I made my adjustments:
1. Driver Install
Download and install the bootcamp drivers from: www.bootcampdrivers.com/ - Follow Mat's video guide.
2. Ensure the right temperature
- Download and install latest version of Mac Fan Control
crystalidea.com/macs-fan-control/download
-Follow this guide to set MFC.
3. Stabilize the CPU
- Download and Install latest version of ThrottleStop: www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-throttlestop/
- just put the flub in "set multiples," and change the value to 28 T (25-30 t depending on the temperature of your system.) This will make your CPU constantly run about 2800 MHz.
Remember to press "turn on" botton to activate new settings and not just monitor.
4. Stabilize the GPU (graphic card)
- Now you need to download and install MorePowerTool (MPT)
www.igorslab.de/en/red-bios-editor-and-morepowertool-adjust-and-optimize-your-vbios-and-even-more-stable-overclocking-navi-unlimited/3/
Once done, start the program and load your "graphics card BIOS file" that you created with GPU-Z.
Next, change the settings on your graphics card. I am currently trying out several different settings, but the ones you can see in the picture seem OK for this time.
EDIT: I removed my settings becaus of unstability in Final Fantasy XV, I will post new ones when i find a more stable setup.
For now look up - kutuzvden's settings:

Finaly press "write SPPT" and restart you laptop and test your new settings out.
