It took a ton of attempts to get the drivers to install at all. Followed all the instructions (DDU at least 5 times). It's installed and running now, but it crashes reasonably often. Close to every hour the computer gets screen all one color (color is whatever there was the most of on the screen before crash) and then eventually restarts. Any suggestions?

The latest release of the CAD software was crashing due to the old original AMD drivers I had installed circa 2015. The latest stock driver I was able to get from AMD that ran stable in windows 10 was 18.40, but that still crashed with my CAD software. Any newer drivers worked for the CAD software but made windows unstable. Today I downloaded and installed your August 2020 Blue driver manually through device manager on top of the stock AMD 18.40 driver and it is working for the CAD program, and so far windows hasn't crashed. But what is your best recommendation for the cleanest install on this config system assuming August 2020 Blue driver is the answer to my problems? is what I've done now the best? Or should I try a full DDU install of August 2020? (I assume your suggestion in the notes on the compatibility page of doing manual device driver install of Aug 2020 hints that a full DDU has issues)

Try the new official Boot Camp driver from AMD, version 20.45 (R5). It installs and works great with my D700 configuration. I think this might be the best and perhaps last working and stable driver for these GPUs, since new AMD drivers only target much more recent GPUs.
