Tried the update. Works great but still has the following issues for me:
-Can't boot Windows with external monitor connected, I have to physically disconnect the cable and reconnect after boot. -After reconnecting, external monitor will turn on, then off again for 10-20 seconds before turning on again. -Can't use the H265/HEVC hardware encoder, only H264/AVC. -Mostly stable, but I've had instances where running a game caused both displays to repeatedly turn on and off. Had to disconnect the cable to stop it.
Thanks for the update, but if it has the issue with running at 5K with the iMac 2017 models then I can't upgrade as I use Windows for non-gaming purposes as well. Is it possible to provide 2 installers/configs one that uses the Red drivers and one using Blue? Thanks

I use macos I only use windows for gaming so need the red one for me.
If it's too much work I think it would be fine if you released the blue version less often, as professional apps typically don't require the latest updates as much as games anyway. Even once a year, when the certificate is renewed, would be fine.

I had the sampe problem with a boot loop as I tried to install this driver. Then I plugged out everything and I could install the driver, but after a restart the same problem occurs. A boot loop! Can't get back into windwos except in safe mode to uninstall the driver again. I am using a DSDT override to solve the error 12 problem in order to use my eGPU egpu.io/forums/pc-setup/fix-dsdt-override-to-correct-error-12/#post-716. It works fine with the adrenalin june edition. But I am stuck in a boot loop with july v2 and august edition.

If Mat were to update the blue, pro drivers only once a year, then those of us who want 5K in Windows might as well just use the official Apple/AMD Boot Camp drivers. The main reasons to use the BootCampDrivers.com drivers are that Mat keeps them reasonably current, allowing us to play newer games that require newer driver versions, and that they allow the internal display to be used when also using an eGPU.
(And while I use my iMac 5K only for gaming, those poor souls who need to use Windows for non-gaming work and who come here do so because they also want to game in Windows.)
I would prefer 5K support simply because I find that on my Retina 5K iMac, the Windows desktop and apps look like garbage at 3840x2160 (whereas at 5K they look crisp), and coming from macOS, it pains me to spend any amount of time looking at it. (Why is Windows so poor at scaling?) If necessary, I guess I can grit my teeth and run Windows in 4K, but ugh, there’s enough ugliness in our modern world as it is.
The ideal solution, of course, would be for the red, gaming software to properly support 5K in Boot Camp (as it used to do), but that would seem to require changes on AMD’s end.
Mat, I’m reluctant to ask you to do extra work in providing us with this unpaid but invaluable service (our tips and donations almost certainly fall far short of the value of your time, and you owe us nothing), but if you were able to automate the process of building separate red and blue installers (or a single installer that allows us to choose the red or the blue software) without undue extra work, that would be swell, at least until AMD sorts out these driver issues.

Does the Imac Pro or the Imac 2019 have the same problems with the 5k resolution with the red AMD driver? Has the driver tried someone with an Imac Pro or Imac 2019? What are the experiences? Many thanks :-)
i am on imac 4k with radeon 555pro inside. this is what happen with August version. and for egpu, there is still a note to free a port and screen still blank. any solution for this ?
Windows settings -> System -> Display -> Scroll down & select Advanced Display Settings ->Display 1 Adapter property -> List All Modes -> Select , 1920x1080 True Color (32bit), 60Hz & Apply.
Is there no way to get this to work in 5k? If I do this the screen is actually 1080p. 4K is the highest I can choose. Pretty sure 5k worked on a previous version?

Yes, July edition (the blue software) is 5k.
now if only the gaming software supported 5k everything would be perfect.
BTW, the upper limit of August edition (the red gaming software) is 2560x1440(2880) for iMac 5k.
On iMac 5K 2019 with August's red software there are no problems with resolution and you can select up to 5K. I had other problems so had to reinstall July's drivers but at least resolution was fine.
btw, anyone else has had problems with iMac's screen not turning off/not sleeping/not able to turn off pc at all? I had this problem previously with some drivers but lately with July's drivers everything was fine. After clean installing August's edition it stopped working and after clean installing July's edition again it's still not working, reinstalled multiple times. (Screen doesn't turn off according to timer. When I turn it off using iMac's power button it turns back on in a couple of seconds. If I put iMac to sleep, it turns back on. I didn't test this time but previously I couldn't even turn off the iMac because every time it turned off it started back again in a couple of seconds. It was never able to display what device woke it up so I'm pretty sure the problem is with drivers I just don't understand why even doing clean install of the same drivers that worked before doesn't always fix the problem. Maybe it's a known problem and somebody who has used boot camp longer than me knows the fix).

I'll see if I can put some automation in to get this done. Even with automation it will still double the time it takes to sign the drivers but I'll see about automating more of that process too (currently I do it manually for each driver).
