Umm, where is the inf file again? Unzipped folder/Packages/Drivers/Display/WT6A_INF/U0337288.inf (U0337288 may vary from person to person)

Hi everyone, Hoping someone can help. I want to install Oculus on my iMac 2017 w/Radeon Pro 580 but it stops at setup asking to update drivers (Bootcamp Radeon default driver is v17.1) So I tried to update to the newest 18.12.3 as per instructions in the readme file but everytime I tried the update crashes. Upon reboot windows goes into automatic repair and I can't get it out of that state.
I am running Windows 10 Home Oct update (1809) and have tried at least three time with the same results. I always end up having to wipe clean bootcamp partition and reinstall windows from scatch.
Has anyone experienced the same behaviour or have any tips on how to fix these issues and be able to upgrade Radeon 580 drivers?
Thanks!!

Thanks for the quick response Mat Unfortunately it didn't work either but I am getting what I think is a strange behavior.
I run DDU in safe mode and it effectively clears the graphic card drivers and after rebooting in normal mode it shows Microsoft's default driver in Device Manager. But, after 3-5min of booting up, windows automatically installs a graphic card device named 67DFC0. Which is basically a radeon card with an old version (16.6 or something like that)
Is that common? how do I avoid windows automatically re-installing old AMD drivers? I think the new drivers setup could be clashing with that since it is not installing over a clean Microsoft default driver.

how do I avoid windows automatically re-installing old AMD drivers? The easiest way might be to unplug your ethernet cable and turn off WiFi until you've installed the desired new driver.

I had big issues upgrading these drivers on iMac pro, running the setup.exe or right clicking the INF to install simply did not work. I also cleared the previous ones in safe mode. So what i did to get it going, is after running the setup.exe and it completing through, i went to the display driver in device manager, and used the "Have Disk" option, then selected the INF, then from there i manually selected "Radeon RX Vega" and Voila, the drivers installed, and working perfect! So if you got a iMAC pro and still cant get it working, this is an alternative way to get it going

Hi, the Adrenalin 18.12.3.-Drivers are working so far with my 2015 iMac 5k. Is there a working method to stop windows 10 overriding my drivers with its regular amd updates? I want to stop ONLY Amd drivers updates and keep the other auto updates.

I want to stop ONLY Amd drivers updates and keep the other auto updates. Open Command Prompt as administrator and paste the following: reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU" /v NoAutoUpdate /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU" /v AUOptions /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU" /v ScheduledInstallDay /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU" /v ScheduledInstallTime /t REG_DWORD /d 3 /f This stops Windows from forcing updates to your PC and let's you choose them. Also, follow this address on the Registry and change the following: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate] “ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate”=dword:00000001 This excludes drivers from Windows 10 updates. After that, reboot.

Hi jamieckorea, thanx. The command prompt posting worked but in Registry i didn´t found such entry. There is only the entry "(Standard)". How can i add the exclude?
