What can be the problem? I use Windows 10 next to macOS. I installed Macs Fan Control and MSI Afterburner on Windows and I gave additional 20 MHz for the GPU and for the Memory. Can these affect the GPU Diode's temperature under macOS?
Thanks in advance!
I have an AMD Radeon M395X GPU in my iMac.

The drivers do not affect the gpu under os x. When idle my card usually sits at 65 C. Perhaps the apple firmware in macOS didn't kick in hard enough to cool your gpu. Macsfancontrol is also available for MacOS if you have this issue.

Thank you Mat HD! This is my last question. Is it normal that my iMac's GPU diode temperature can reach 80 Celsius just watching YouTube or just browsing in Safari? I ran Apple Diagnostics yesterday and it said there is no problem with any hardware or the fans.
Thank you for your answer in advance!

This is probably due to the GPU acceleration for youtube videos and certain website elements in safari. I wouldn't be surprised if it does reach 80 C if you have a number of tabs open. So long as its not consistently sitting at 90-100 C then no harm will come of the card.

What do you think is it normal that the GPU Diode temperature is 70 Celsius, when the machine is idle and no programs are open? The fan control is managed by the system. When I'm just writing to you it can reach 80 degrees.
I saw on some forums that that iMac's fan system is not so good, sometimes we have to call Apple and take the Mac back to store. Sorry for the bunch of questions, but I just want to make sure.
Thanks in advance Mat!

Yes the cooling in the iMac is not very efficient due to thinness of design. Might be dust in your iMac which is causing the cooling to be even less efficient.

I just bought it a week ago. I don't think it is the dust. Okay I think we can agree that these temperatures are normal for an iMac.
Thank you!
