Hey Matt (and all) – I'm using this workaround on my iMac Pro (works great - thank you so much!)
Quick question: My Windows 10 in bootcamp is now talking about that it wants to UPDATE some Apple / Bootcamp files - including "Graphics drivers".
I take it I'm supposed to leave that alone, right?
Thanks!
/ Martin

Wait, when was the launch date on those drivers?!
The ones that Apple Updater is asking you to update to?
I'm asking because if that's true Apple may have released updated Bootcamp drivers for the iMac Pro's GPU after you install bootcamp.

You will get a notification for Bootcamp AMD drivers update if one is available. Otherwise if it is for an older version it can be ignored.

Mat (and others), thanks so much for all your work on these drivers! It's unfortunate that folks require this kind of under-the-table support for Apple products, but you are providing an invaluable service.
I have a Pro Vega 64 and the latest workaround worked for a while but now I have continuous Windows Recovery mode and/or Windows OS corruption. I don't quite understand why or how this happens. Thank goodness I have Winclone or this would be even more painful than it already is! Still, I am getting very tired of re-installing the drivers every other time I run BC... Hopefully Apple will get their poop together soon.
Anyway, THANK YOU again.

Booting into safe mode and then restarting back into normal mode works apparently & saves you having to restore backups etc.

I have tried safe mode. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's baffling.

My workaround (64) worked fine for a week. After the first autorepair I've done 3-5 clean installs hoping that I won't get stuck.
I'll force the latest crimson driver for the hell of it. Will report.

Sorry if this has been answered, but does anyone know if the current drivers on Bootcamp Assistant are the most recent AMD Vega 56 drivers? Thanks!

And this would be the same drivers that are the Crimson 17.11.1? Thank you for your help Mat, this is new to me. Would I just check for new Apple updates in Windows?

Today I'm releasing a new workaround which is based on a forum member's findings ('john5' thanks!). It does mean that users can at last get the FPS improvements they've been so needing. Unfortunately it also means that you cannot simply install using setup.exe so this file has been removed. Please read the new Read Me File before installing for full instructions (it is actually a quicker process than with the regular drivers because you do not uninstall the current drivers first). DO NOT USE DDU before installing otherwise this may not work. Leave the official Bootcamp drivers that are already installed on the system. Hopefully in the future it will be possible to install the drivers via the traditional AMD setup.exe installer. Note: I've just updated the Read Me File. You need to select 'Radeon RX Vega' when you get a list of available options.Enjoy! The official drivers are available via apple software update!!

What do you mean? Is there an AMD Driver Update from Apple for the iMac Pro? If so, which version?
