Hi, I try to install the driver but only got 3 items in the installer. I had uninstall the official BootCamp driver using DDU in Safe Mode, and install two cert files. Is there anything I did wrong? Thank you. Driver: Win10-x64-Crimson-16.11.5-MBP2016-bootcampdrivers[dot]com System: Windows 10 x64 Model: MacBook Pro 2016 15" w/ Touch Bar GPU: Radeon Pro 460

Hello. It seems the only way to install the device driver is via device manager by right clicking on the current driver and clicking update then navigate to the amd folder for the newest driver.
Then to install the software run 'radeon settings fix'
Looking into a fix asap.

Then to install the software run 'radeon settings fix' Looking into a fix asap. Wow, Thank you~ I will try that now. I just try to diff the official driver and the hack one. And it seems by adding some lines to /Config/CIMManifest.xml I can let the Installer work. In <Package productName="AMD HDMI Audio driver" PID="W-06-0001-000-001-039-001-00-25" url="Drivers\WDM\HDMI\WT64A\atihdwt6.msi">
add these lines at the end of table "ATI_ASIC_Include" : <row> <td>391</td> <td>0x67EF</td> <td>0x0160</td> <td>0x1002</td> <td>0x106B</td> <td>Baffin MOBILE ULA</td> <td>AMD Radeon Pro 460</td> <td>0xC0</td> </row> <row> <td>392</td> <td>0x67EF</td> <td>0x0166</td> <td>0x1002</td> <td>0x106B</td> <td>Baffin MOBILE PRO</td> <td>AMD Radeon Pro 455</td> <td>0xC7</td> </row> <row> <td>393</td> <td>0x67EF</td> <td>0x0167</td> <td>0x1002</td> <td>0x106B</td> <td>Baffin LEA</td> <td>AMD Radeon Pro 450</td> <td>0xEF</td> </row> In <Package productName="AMD Settings" PID="W-06-2U03-000-002-193-001-00-25" url="Apps\CN\CCCSlim\Core-Static-Net4\ccc-slim.msi">, <Package productName="AMD Settings" PID="W-10-0U00-000-002-191-001-00-25" url="Apps\CN\CNext\cnext\ccc-next.msi">, <Package productName="AMD Settings" PID="W-10-0U01-000-002-192-001-00-25" url="Apps\CN\CNext\cnext64\ccc-next64.msi"> <Package productName="AMD Drag and Drop Transcoding" PID="W-06-0103-000-002-117-001-00-25" url="Apps\DnDTranscoding64\DnDTranscoding64.msi"> add these lines at the end of table "ATI_ASIC_Include" : <row> <td>391</td> <td>0x67EF</td> <td>*</td> <td>0x1002</td> <td>*</td> <td>Baffin MOBILE ULA</td> <td>AMD Radeon Pro 460</td> <td>0xC0</td> </row> <row> <td>392</td> <td>0x67EF</td> <td>*</td> <td>0x1002</td> <td>*</td> <td>Baffin MOBILE PRO</td> <td>AMD Radeon Pro 455</td> <td>0xC7</td> </row> <row> <td>393</td> <td>0x67EF</td> <td>*</td> <td>0x1002</td> <td>*</td> <td>Baffin LEA</td> <td>AMD Radeon Pro 450</td> <td>0xEF</td> </row>
It seems there are some other places need to add those lines, but for now it works just fine. PS: here is the CIMManifest.xml from official driver: CIMManifest.xml.zip (41.92 KB)

mrt I am currently uploading the Crimson ReLive version for the new MBP. Would be great if you could test it out (should work just fine now). Thanks to you I can start working towards merging it with the other Windows 10 mac cards! Much appreciated!

for me (pro 460, 2016 mbp) it still doesn't work unfortunately. (installing the display driver alone via device manager did work, but i can't seem to get the software installed) EDIT: got it! but performance seems way worse (especially after a little time) so i'm deinstalling these drivers and going back to the ones apple provided. i'll come back for the next update appreciate the effort!

thanks thirstydude! did you have to do anything in particular to get the installer working? not sure why performance is worse but I will definitely look into it for the next version.

it looks like the thermal throttling kicks in too heavy, i never got the temps above 65°-70° max. with the apple provided bootcamp drivers i got 100° on the cpu and 90° on the gpu. (which seems to be fairly normal for the macbooks...)
anyway here's how i got it working: 1) install the newest driver via device manager 2) install normal, it will say it's done after a few seconds. 3) install via your commandline tool, it's installing the radeon control center the way it should. (at least for me it did, didn't autostart the control center tough.)
i don't get the crimson relive features tough, no dvr, no chill settings (i thought this was it..), at least i can't seem to find them anywhere in the crimson app.
it would be really amazing using the new drivers but my fps seems to drop very slowly to an unplayable rate after a few minutes. i gotta go back to the desktop via task manager, wait a few seconds, then go back into the game for it to run smoothly again. its kinda inconvenient. maybe the new drivers were never meant to work on the pro 460 gpus?
(what's kinda strange: the gpu drivers seem to affect the cpu temperatures aswell. maybe due to their combined cooling system..)

really appreciate your feedback on this thirstydude.
I've discovered why now the installer for the Macbook Pro 2016 doesn't install anything even after the fix.
Upon testing Version 2 of Relive 16.2.1 edition which I am now uploading, I discovered the installer wasn't installing anything on my card either. "Weird" I thought, because the changes I've done should definitely not stop anything from installing. Where you normally force the installer to work using 'EnableFalcon=true' in the installer configuration file, I discovered that the installer had injected a whole load of code into the file somehow, meaning amongst other things it was looking for the driver files in the completely wrong directory, hence why nothing was installing! I'm issuing the fix now.
If you don't mind thirstydude if you could test it one more time - you might find it works better as the installer will install everything as opposed to only a partial install via the method you did. Thanks!

alright, yeah sure i'll do that! gonna give you feedback once i'm done! EDIT: nope, still buggy. the display driver now installs fine but the radeon control center doesn't install and the radeon settings fix file does give me an "resource not available" error. here's the log, maybe it helps. thanks. weird. I must be so close now though. I wonder why its doing that...
Did you do a complete uninstall with DDU in safe mode?

perhaps the file is corrupt somehow? Packages\Apps\CN\CNext\cnext64/ccc-next64.msi is the installer file for the radeon software. what happens if you try to open that manually?

yes, i did a ddu deinstall in safe mode. when i try to install it manually, i get an error by windows installer saying: "the feature you want to install is on a network resource that is not available at the moment" (might be different, i'm german, so this is a translation, anyway it seems to want a network resource that it not available..)
EDIT: quick update: when i select the path in that box (same path as before, logically.) it asks me for the admin's permission, and when i accept that it seems to install.

did you make sure that 'Keep system up to date' is unchecked on the installer screen at the bottom? I looked into the error you're getting it might be that DDU is not removing every single file in this case as its a new software. Maybe try uninstalling via the AMD app instead and then reinstalling??
Glad the display driver itself is installing though!

hmm ok. so its basically working now but I think maybe I can do a tweak to the installer config file.
I think in C:\AMD\Config\ by opening InstallManager.cfg and changing "WorkaroundInstall=false" to "true" might help override problems like this.
