this is a problem with the PC drivers too for the R290. Simply use an older driver version for now.

New driver 17.10.1 works great on a Mac Pro (2013) with AMD D300s. My problem with 17.8.x and 17.9.x drivers was with MSI Afterburner 4.3. Using MSIA 4.4beta which works with 17.10.1 but it limits overclocking from 850/1270 to 950/1350 when I was using 976/1423 with 4.3 and 17.7.2 driver. My rig is about 5% slower using Heaven 4 benchmarking, 55.1 vs 58.0 FPS.

Hi. I'm having a problem where when I go into bootcamp and do the newest version ddu clean and restart and I go back into windows it doesn't say I have the Microsoft display driver. And it says I'm on windows 1703 so I have no idea what to do. Please help.

I redid this and in the first 2 minutes after it enters into the software it says I have the Microsoft basic display thing. Then after the 2 minutes I hear the windows sound when something gets plugged into the USB slot and the screen goes black and then comes back on and it goes back to the amd 395x display thing. Weird.

With this new drivers version I get my Windows 10 on iMac 5K rebooting every time when AMD Driver Installer starts to install Graphic Driver... It's like driver is almost here (resolution is just about to change) but then it's rebooting. And if you try to install the driver again Windows shows you an error message about atiadlxx.dll file... (like "this file is not supported by Windows or has an error"). Any suggestions? thnx I found this error happens with my friend whenever he was plugging any dongle to the MBP . try to unplug any thing from it and try installing.

My imac says it has the regular display driver in but after 2 minutes it reverts back to the "AMD 395X Display" thing so idk what to do.

use an older version if the new one causes problems. I will keep saying this until I'm blue in the face lol.

So, without using "Desktop Lighter" Windows will use the brightness settings of your last OSX boot...
Please correct me if I'm wrong. (kind of tested it - went from "not so bright Windows" to "very bright Windows" after booting into OSX and maxing out brightness - didn't check vice versa though).
Thanks for all your work!

I did a complete reinstall of Win10, safe mode DDU 17.0.7.7, again DDU in normal mode, installed 17.10.1, then Afterburner 4.4.0b19, enabled ‘Extend official overclocking limits" - rebooted. I even read the manual again - slowly - to not miss any step Wattman shows up, but does not do anything (reverts to stock values as soon as I change anything and´hit "Apply") Anybody with a m395x managed to get overclocking/underclocking working with 17.10.1?
