Hi!
I've tried to install 17.7.2 XG on Windows 10 creators update and get 173 error.
I have Macbook Pro 2017 with radeon 560. I tried almost everything - disabling windows defender, uninstalling drivers, etc. I've compared first line Hardware ID with the .inf file - match. What can I do?

have you downloaded the correct package? I've downloaded and tested all four packages for 17.6.2. I've also made clean install of Win10 Anniversary edition, but no luck

I've tried test mode, but no luck. I've noticed very interesting bug: even if I delete "WT6A_INF" folder in "Driver" - AMD installer shows me 173 error. How is it possible if there is no list of supported GPU at all?.
I've compared original AMD drivers from bootcamp with yours:
"%AMD67EF.5%" = ati2mtag_Polaris11, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_67EF&SUBSYS_0179106B&REV_C0 while in original drivers
"%AMD67EF.2%" = ati2mtag_Polaris11, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_67EF&SUBSYS_0179106B&REV_C0
Is it important?

sounds like you have some software that may be conflicting with the AMD installer. The minor differences you note between my drivers and the official ones do not make any difference to how the drivers should install.

That's strange, because I've tried to install it right after clean install even before bootcamp drivers. Even on Anniversary edition (not creators). May be this is because of the system language? I can gather and send all diagnostic data you need, if you can help. I don't know what to do next, but your drivers are the best. Also, I've disabled smart screen, windows defender - what else can I do?

well then im perplexed as to why you are having this issue. the only suggestion I can think of is to raise the issue with AMD as a bug report as they build the actual installer.

Hello! I have MacBook Pro 15 2015 and I have the same problem. I installed Windows 10 anniversary update and when I deleted drivers using DDU I get 173 error while setup 17.7.2 XG drivers.

That's bad news, but at least we are not alone now. I think - great idea would be to find what we have in common? Do you have Bootcamp drivers installed already?

I installed Bootcamp drivers after windows setup and after that I deleted video drivers and tried to install 17.7.2 and got 173 error. Before I got this problem I was playing Sid Meier's pirates and it was very slow (~20 fps). This is very old game so I think it should works fine on my MacBook so I tried to open AMD Settings and got an error. Something about problem with video card driver. I didn't have this error before and I don't know why it was happen. In that moment I also had Crimson drivers but more older version. And now I'm trying to install new drivers in several ways (reinstall Windows and install drivers with clean OS for example) but it doesn't work.

Try different older versions and report if you have the same problem for these?
