After much testing, Crimson 17.7.2 is now available (Crimson 17.7.1 for Windows 8.1). See AMD release notes for new features and changes. Other changes... - Fixes to the Windows 8.1 driver for Radeon Pro 400 users in Macbook Pro 2016 (should install ok now).
- Experimental support for the new Radeon Pro 500 cards in the Windows 8.1 package. AMD haven't released 17.7.2 for Windows 8.1 therefore I've used 17.7.1.
- Workaround for the driver not working in Bootcamp (turns out to be the same workaround to restore brightness controls too, as that hasn't been fixed by AMD yet either).
- The full OpenCL package is now bundled with the installer (no need to download it from the internet anymore).
- AMD keep changing their underlying code for no apparent reason, so the latest package matches up properly.
Windows 8.1 support is now officially retired. No more updates will be available. Windows 7 will still be supported for the time being. Also, standard drivers are no longer being made available for Windows 10, only XG versions. I need to cut down on the amount of time this is taking out of my free time so I can do other things. Enjoy!

Thanks for doing Amd/ Apple job. Hope you will also find time for legacy drivers.

There isn't any benefit to doing the same for the legacy drivers. All I can do for those is change the version number without adding any new features to it.

Just installed 17.7.2 in a Mac Pro (2013) AMD D300's running Windows 10.1703. After playing a couple of test CoD IW games, the new driver works great.
Many thanks, Mat!

Ive noticed a lot of these features have disappeared too. They are not even meant to be available for mobile cards in the first place according to amd and they have made a whole load of changes to their settings app.

Don't have mobile machine, but I thought Chill was all about prolonging battery life? But again, what do I know?
Much appreciated! I haven't installed 17.7.2 yet, so whether it works or not, still want to say thanks!
Yup, AMD is nuts. This is on their Chill page.
"Designed to save power, lower temperature, and increase battery life, Radeon Chill enables high performance graphics when you battle and saves power when you explore."

Thanks for your hard work in setting all of this up! I've been using your drivers for a couple releases, but I am having problems getting this one working.
I tried to install the 17.7.2 XG Driver a couple of times (2016 Macbook Pro 15-Touchbar) and was unsuccessful. I did the safe mode uninstall/reboot-reinstall a couple of times, but Windows 10 refuses to load the new driver. I then did the same steps with the older 17.6.2 XG driver and it worked perfectly on the first try.
Are others having issues getting issues getting this installed?

I believe so, but I will try downloading/reinstalling again tonight and report the results.

I re-downloaded the 17.7.2 XG package, tried to install, and had the same results: Error 1603 (General Error). When I do the same actions with the 17.6.2 XG driver, then everything works. So, it is looking like the new driver does not load on the 2016 MBP-TouchBar (at least for me).
