Hello everyone, Glenn from Sweden here.
I’m a bit confused over what drivers I should use with the following setup:
Late 2013 Imac 27”, Windows 10 (version 21H2) bootcamp. 32 gb ram, i7 3.5Ghz, internal gpu: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780M 4gb, eGPU Blackmagic Radeon Pro 580 8gb.
Currently I’m using the Adrenalin feb 2022 Red drivers but the performance isn’t really what I expected for this eGPU, in fact it feel just a tad better than the internal 780 graphics playing the pc game Star Citizen. When running the free version of Novabench it gives me a eGPU score of 635 compared to the internal 780M with the score of 597. So I guess something is not right.
My head is spinning from reading all kinds of guides and forums so if someone could help me I would be really glad.
I guess I should use one of the Adrenalin 2020 drivers as Radeon 500 series is mentioned there? I use Windows mainly to play games.
Additional questions: Would it be easier to get things working by making my iMac an windows 10 machine only without macOS and bootcamp?
Should I completely uninstall the internal gpu drivers or is it enough to simply deactivate it in device manager?
