Hi!I have the 5k iMac with the M395 graphics card, 8Gb Ram and the 3.3Ghz quad-core i5. I've been trying to play the Forza Horizon 3 demo for a long time, but couldn't even start it because the drivers were outdated. I just downloaded the latest XG drivers and they work like a charm, so now I've been able to run it and play around a little bit. I really like the game, but the performance doesn't seem to be really good. I've managed stable 30fps at 1920x1080 with the settings on "low", but I've received once a graphic low memory warning. Does someone have any suggestion on settings or in general to improve the performance? I just want to make sure I can run the game relatively well before I purchase it. Thanks a lot in advance!

the full version has better optimization. also you can use macsfancontrol and try to overclock a little bit. see if that helps.

Forza Apex is also worth looking at. Its free too! (although if you love it as much as me, you'll get the Premium version :-) ) That ran awesomely well, even on Ultra settings. Apex would auto detect as High but Horizon 3 always defaults to Low. Horizon 3 would be jumpy getting about 14 FPS, whereas Apex would happily get 60 FPS with the occasional jump.
What is really strange though is now I can't run either... I get "your system doesn't meet the requirements for our Low settings" warnings on both. It says you can continue and might get performance issues but all you get is the sound and a black screen.
Does anyone have any ideas? This is a late 2015 iMac i7, 32GB RAM, M395x. Can only think something I've installed doesn't play nice with it. I've turned the other Thunderbolt monitor off too.

Hi Mat. Happy to say it was working with 17.7.2. I tried reinstalling and reverting back to 17.6.2 but I had the same issue. After a bit more playing around, I noticed the Xbox app would crash when you tried to stream the Xbox - which is exactly what happened the first time I ran BootCamp without installing your drivers. Reinstalling the BootCamp drives and reinstalling your drivers didn't work though this time :-(
The Windows application log would show faulting module records for msvcrt.dll when Forza bombed and atidxx64.dll when the Xbox app bombed after trying to stream. So don't know if any of those ring a bell to you?
Thankfully I had taken a system image backup pretty much after a clean Win 10 install, with my Office apps, the Forza games and 17.7.2 as the graphics drivers so I just restored the whole thing. Happy to say Forza ran straight away! So basically whatever was installed in the past 2 days "broke" the graphics capability. Off the top of my head, the only things I installed were the Paragon ExtFS drivers, the Duet drivers (for using iPad as extra screen - my money is on this at present), or any of WebEx, Whatapp, Telegram or VMware Horizon client.
I'll be happy just to maintain a stable machine for a few days... the tech gremlins have been out to get me the last few weeks! Thanks for all you do with these driver updates - awesome sauce :-)

AMD say that the xbox app shouldn't be used if you also have Relive installed. This is part of the problem at least because they conflict.

Howdy. My hunch was correct, as soon as I installed the Duet app (creates another monitor with your iPad, which in turns allows it to be used as a drawing board with the Apple pencil, www.duetdisplay.com/) both the Xbox app and Forza games would crash and give the system doesn't meet the requirements messages. Thankfully a straight uninstall of the app got everything running again. So whatever Duet installs or configures breaks the setup. I could play with it some more but for now I'm going to leave it off and will just need to use the macOS boot if I want to do any white boarding online... annoying but no deal breaker, mainly as its not that I do that very often! (Relive isn't installed btw)

Duet support came back to me "This is a compatibility issue with our display driver on Windows and the GPU of your Mac. Our development team is aware of this and are working on a solution for this matter."
