The RX 4xx series GPU's and later have them. I have a Vega 20 MBP, and the option is available for me. It's probably for the newer and higher-end Macs. I have the option too, but I don't think it is working. I've been playing around with it in Fortnite, there is no difference it seems. Thanks for replying anyway Looks like it only works for RX Polaris, RX Vega, and RX Navi, and Radeon VII. So you need an eGPU from that family to actually have a difference.

I don’t seem to be seeing the same drastic performance boost that most of you are mentioning with these drivers. I ran the division 2 benchmark on the drivers supplied with boot camp, the experimental dec 2019 edition and the most recent 2020 version V1. 16 inch Macbook pro 2.3ghz i9, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M(8GB) Division 2 1920x1200. Graphics on High preset Stock bootcamp amd driver: Score: 4519 FPS: 50 Video Driver: 26.20.13003.5002 Division 2 1920x1200. Graphics on High preset (Don't have the screenshot for this but remember the FPS, surprisingly it was lower) December 2019 adrenalin driver Score: Score 4490 FPS: 49 Division 2 1920x1200. Graphics on High preset Adranalin 2020 Driver: Score: 4690 FPS: 52 Video Driver: 26.20.15003.5016 Prior to each driver being installed DDU was used in safe mode. Not sure if its just this game but I didn't notice any difference when running Unigen Heaven benchmark either(I tested that with V2 since that was better for benchmarking software, didnt notice any difference with FPS). Mat or anyone have any clue on why I'm not seeing any noticeable improvements with the drivers? The only thing it fixed was the scaling issue, aside from that the FPS is roughly the same(not that the FPS is low by any means). Just curious to know how people are seeing a 15-20FPS improvement.

Im having difficulty installing the version 1 of the Red version, it keeps giving me an error, I restored my computer as well hoping it would work, gives me an error 1603 James you need to make sure you have a version of windows 10 of 1903 or newer.

Hey Mat, is there a wat to get RIS (Image Sharpening) on Macbook ? Also how do you downscale a resolution like you did for the two resolutions in the new driver. Great work btw, thank you so much for making gaming on Mac more enjoyable. You should have downscale resolutions for your macbook as I've added them in.

MAT HD thank you for the drivers the red v2 work great on my 16 m5300! I'm trying to get my egpu working but just getting error 12 no matter what I do. I'm running windows 1909 build 18363.418. Which version of windows were you using when you tested the egpu side of things with the macbook pro 16?

First of all, thanks for the driver! I was wondering if there was a way to enable AMD Link in this driver, I have the 16 inch MacBook but I do not see the option to enable the server.
Thanks!

i have both tried red version and blue version. at the moment i feel that amd need to make few updates and bugs less. but on the 27 imac 2017 red works strange but have dual screen problem. but blue enterprise works at best but not at the moment with the new UI from 2020. And Red version gaming looks laggy and strange when you put your profile as gaming. When im playing cod 4 its looks strange and lags sometimes. but with Red gaming software with default none gaming thing it works perfect. Personally im more fan of the Blue version

How do we update to 1903 the correct way? I downloaded the one in your link, and then put it in the bootcamp to reinstall the entire system again, but for some reason there’re some problems and the install just keeps restart every 20 minutes. (I downloaded the iso file again and same thing happened) Then I reinstalled the newest windows 10 via bootcamp and everything goes normal, although error 12 still exists. I downloaded the iso file from windows and then mont the file to reinstall in windows not bootcamp, after installed my keyboard and trackpad stopped working, so I have to download “windows support”from bootcamp and put it in. Now the keyboard trackpad and touchbar works, but my computer doesn’t every recognize my egpu, even the keyboard and mouse connected to the egpu stopped working witch works before the downgrade. Can you help me with this? Btw the driver works flawlessly with my 2017 MacBook Pro 15” with the same egpu. Great work! But I’m selling the 2017 one so I need to get the 16” to work😵

If you're having eGPU problems that aren't tied to a specific driver change (e.g. it was working with all variables the same aside from a driver update), you're better off asking aroudn at egpu.io as they're focused on eGPUs. egpu.io/best-external-graphics-card-builds/ is a good place to start, you can filter for 16" MBP (or whatever hardware you're using) build guides and see if anyone has the same or similar enclosure and gpu.
