Hi,
I'm running into some thermal throttling issues when gaming.
So to fix that, I'd like to try UNDERvolting my CPU.
Problem is that apparently Apples locks the ability to do that no matter what software I use whilst in Windows via Bootcamp (or in OSX for that matter).
Does anyone know if there is a workaround for that?
Thanks!

Yes i'ts possible. Dont listen to this troll.
Intel Extreme Tuning Utility is the program you should download at bootcamp.
try to find some informative youtube vids about it, because the voltage depends also on the amount of ram you got.
I had throttling while i was running the Rainbow Six Siege benchmark (minFPS: 21 / maxFPS: 84). After i turned down the voltage to 30watt and the turbo boost to 5sec and 25watt my fps raised a lot (minFPS: 86 / maxFPS: 149).
Macbook Pro 2.2ghz, 32gb ram, 560x

Thanks for calling me a troll but according to my research you can't. The option is blurred in the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. Remind me if I'm wrong just in case

I checked again, core voltage offset is infact grayed out. I don't know you managed to undervolt it, and if you really did, teach me.

According to a app developer that makes cpu undervolting software for MacOS, "Only compatible with Haswell and Broadwell processors (Macbooks from 2013 - 2015). This functionality has been prevented on later generations." You have a newer generation of MBP. How did you manage to undervolt your laptop CPU? I'm actually curious now. Please reply.

Sorry im not very active on the forums. I only look from time to time whenever there is an mbp 2018 update for the amd drivers (which is deleted from the homepage?) My bad, i just rechecked the advanced tuning tab. You were right. Please excuse me The things ive been undervolting was the turbo boost wattage. Since i undervolted that i had seriously improved fps in games.

Could you please take a screenshot of what you did there? The FPS increase you got there was pretty impressive though and I want to get some of that extra juice as well Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, that's what I got as well—greyed out option.
I have disabled TurboBoost with StopThrottle, since my problem is THERMAL throttling, and not actually needing more performance.
BUT… maybe I can leave it on and just limit its voltage like you did.
I'll try that.
